Hey does anyone know what is the status of an Opposing Force Sequel?

I thought Alan Sheppard was an awesome character with a great side story in Half Life's Black Mesa. At the end of the expansion it seemed logical Alan Sheppard was going to team up with Gordon Freeman, or at least be involved in the next game.

So instead they introduced Alex, and a robotic "dog".........WHYYYYYYY.

SO anyone know what's up with that and what are theydoing with opposing force?

Oh man awesome about Eternal Sonata that game looks gorgeous and I can't wait to play it. I must have skimmed past it last magazine.

Thats unfortunate about Bioshock, thats now two US gaming publications that werent able to review bioshock for sept's issue, while their UK counterparts were. (PC gamer and OXM)

Heres hoping gfw will have the review in their upcoming issue. I just want them to get their digital magazine up on xbox live marketplace, would give them much more flexibility on what to include where.

P.S. Please let that Bioshock mini poster be in the next mag

Lame, Dude OXM is so bad.

No eternal sonata review?!?! No Bioshock review!??!!?

Why does OXM UK have a bioshock review and OXM doesnt.

Lame Lame Lame

You could probably get 25, 30 bucks for Halo 3 if you have a Gamecrazy or Gamerush by you. That'd pay for half of it, and that's worth it I guess. And yeah, by the time Halo 3 comes out, almost every other game's community will die. Might as well though, even though it probably won't live up to the hype, Halo 3 will still be pretty good, and everyone will have it, so online will be fun. 1vgfan

Thanks Guys, Hey I really appreciate the comment about Gamecrazy!! They are offering 27.30 for shadowrun!!! Thanks so much man for the tip.

I'll probably be trading in the game today.

Ya shadowrun was definitely fun and intense, but I won't be seeing my box for another 4-8 weeks, and who knows what'll happen by then.

Thanks again for the input/suggestions guys!

Hi, what's up guys

Recently my xbox 360 died and I had to send it to the repair center to have it fixed. Unfortunately the service rep said the turn around may vary from 4-8 weeks.

Because of the long wait I was pondering on whether to trade in Shadowrun for ..20 bucks at gamestop, and put that towards halo 3. I say this because I wonder if the SR community will die down alot by the time I get my xbox 360 back, to the point at which its not worth keeping.

Would appreciate any input, thanks!

PS Also if you guys do think the trade in is warranted, I would appreciate if you guys have any other places or sites that will do trade ins.

Thanks again guys!

Hi, I just finished watching the most recent on the spot when I heard that Rich Gallup will be leaving gamespot. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope he has the best of luck in his future endeavours.

I was unable to catch the last bit about who might be replacing him, but it certainly sounds like they have it planned out. Anyway, I hope GS looks at some of their past hosts of previous segments asI think they really have some potential candidates. Judging from recent hotspots, it sounds like Tor Thorson would be an excellent candidate as it seems like he has solid connections with the industry and seems to know how to carry a conversation and flesh it out.

Anyway my vote is Tor thorson even if it is just for the hotspot,

Would love to hear who you guys would pick.

Hey, what's up guys, I recently got a new 250gb sata hard drive and was wondering what the best way to go about partition all my drives.

I have

1x 250gb Sata drive (definitely the fastest drive I have)

2x 80gb ide ata drives

I'm also running two OS's

Windows XP

Windows Vista Business

I'm pretty experienced and familiar with most partitioning tools and I'm wondering what the best possible set up would be?

I was thinking maybe Both Os's on the Sata drive, but that's all I could think of for now. I was also thinking about making two application partitions for each os on the two ide drives to try and maximize speed, but thats just a thought.

Any input is very much appreciated!

um ok? you're right the total rms wattage hardly matters, especially for subs, thats not even a factor at all.

Anyway I'm not going to bash, and it is my opinion so take it for what it is.

I did a quick search on google, and found some reviews from cnet regarding the system

http://reviews.cnet.com/pc-speakers/logitech-x-530/4505-3179_7-31079671.html?tag=prod.txt.1 (They gave it a 6.7 stating

The good: Affordable 5.1-channel system; desk stands double as wall mounts; 1/8-inch headphone jack.

The bad: Lacks secondary inputs; bass control located on subwoofer; lightweight satellites don't stay put; subwoofer not powerful. )

Still makes it sound decent but I still reccomend the Logitech-z 2.1 2300)

a 70 watt speaker system is no where near ideal for a surround sound system, I say forget and invest in a nice pair of Home theater Headphones.

For low volumes they are incredible, and whats great too is that many high end headphones have wireless receivers that work very nicely and hook up to multiple systems.

All in all I'd say keep what you have and save for a better upgrade because it honestly is not worth it.

As far as the static noise problem, there could be a multitude of problems and solutions, Make sure all your cables are shielded, is the power outlet grounded? There could also be other factors of interference, your pc may have open slots emitting emi interference, (cover pci or agp slots)

Anyway good luck!

Heres a nice system from logitech that is pretty cheap and seems pretty good, its a 2.1 system but the sub seems great and its certified by Thx which is also great.
