By the way, I have written a fairly extensive post a couple of hours ago with my likes, dislikes, and some ideas for improving what I dislike, just FYI.......

@Korvus85 Sorry, my mistake then.........I inferred from your post that is what you meant. It seems to be a popular view these days and it annoys me to no end. I agree that useless and obscene comments are of little use, but I just choose to ignore them and focus on those that are more constructive........

@Korvus85 I don't see anything wrong with people stating their opinion and giving feedback as long as it is done respectfully. Sure you can get used to anything, but that doesn't mean the change is positive. I like that they put work into it as well, I just don't like certain aspects of the redesign. Perhaps if we as users inform them of what works and what doesn't, the aspects that aren't well liked will be refined. You're not beholden to reading the comments on the new design. If you don't want to hear feedback, perhaps you should leave instead......

Where did this popular view come from lately - that anyone with an opposing view or criticism of something we like must shut up and go away? Talk about arrogance......

I suppose you wouldn't complain if the next food product you bought came in a beautiful new wrapper but was rotten to the core inside? Imagine someone telling you just to shut up and eat it and that you'd get used to eating spoiled food eventually, LoL............

@racerxgundam @Pi @rawkstar007 Probably is, but I remember them fondly nonetheless. Scott Adams was my favorite designer. Adventureland, The Count, etc were all good ones you might give a try if you're still interested. They're probably a tad on the easy side now, but at the time I was a young kid and they seemed quite the challenge. Then came the text adventures with static images to show where you were. Those are still fairly engaging. I just played Transylvania on a C-64 emulator recently and had a good time with it.

I'm still a fan of modern adventure games today. Had a good time with Overclocked, Still Life, and The Walking Dead recently..........

@racerxgundam @Pi @rawkstar007 Yes, but airball or not, it would sure get you excited when he'd reveal one of your favorite series was getting a sequel, LoL! I'm still waiting for River City Ransom 2. And did I just miss Shadowrun 2 somewhere amidst the years?

@racerxgundam @Pi @rawkstar007 Yeah, you have to subscribe. You get them dirt cheap if you subscribe........but it costs a fortune if you buy individual issues. Subscribing is what keeps them afloat, too, since advertisers go solely on subscription numbers. So if you want to support a mag or two and save some money, get a subscription. :)

I enjoyed the comic too. I forget if it was PC Gamer or EGM, but one of the two used to have something crazy hidden in the copyright info of each issue? Happen to remember that? Some of it was absolutely hilarious. I really liked Quartermann's section and Sushi-X as well. I remember eagerly looking forward to Quartermann's rumors each month to get the latest info on which eagerly anticipated new titles had gone into production!

Ahh........the good old days. Don't get me started or I'll go on a rant about Commodore Computers and text adventures. I'm not that old but I was a videogame fan from the time I could move independently, LoL........

@racerxgundam @Pi @rawkstar007 Yeah, I always liked EGM, PC Gamer, and Computer Gaming Monthly best. EGM and PC Gamer are still around. PC Gamer is still of good quality. I still subscribe to EGM although I'm not as much of a fan as I once was for reasons stated above, among others. Even with the decline, however, I like to support printed media. There is just something more satisfying to me about reading something on paper.

I used to really like the 3-person reviews of EGM because EGM did a great job of allowing you to "get to know" the writers/reviewers, so you had your favorites that you trusted as their likes lined up with yours. When 3 people reviewed each game, you almost always had at least one of them you agreed and identified with (for the most part), which was very helpful. It also gave you varying opinions, as well as pros and cons from different perspectives. Still the best method to this day IMO.........a method that should be brought back by one of the game websites..........

@racerxgundam @Pi @rawkstar007 I agree - I was joking/being sarcastic. I also thought EGM had the best system when they rated games 1-10 and had 3 reviewers for each game. I've been disappointed with EGM lately, however, since it seems nearly all games get a great score and those reviewing the games don't seem to know much about the genre of the game they are reviewing and sometimes even blatantly state they don't LIKE the genre, LoL.
