SwirlingCrystal - Do you know if the current glasses are capable of this. My understanding is that that your eyes are blacked out on alternative frames (left then right then left etc...), are the current glasses capable of flashing both eyes on the same frame, and alternate these between two sets of glasses (if you get what I mean)...if so, this could be something to wait for, but if the tech is not there already, just having special glasses that connect straight to the console with monitors in the lens, allowing for diffent outputs, and in 3d!

I'm both for and against 3D...I can see massive advantage to gaming, giving extra perspective to say racers, FPS and platformers...I think this tech can give us a slight upper hand when devs put poor camera control in a game (to an extent). Movies on the other hand, I don't even want to know about it! Then for the people who can't physically watch or handle 3D, it is just wrong, especially if games are only made for 3D with no 2D support! As for me, if I try to watch 3D over 15 - 20 minutes, I get a massive migrane. I am however interested in seeing the performance of the 3DS...with an easy quick adjustment of the intensity of 3D effect, and hoping that the standard hardware in it is beefed up a bit...it could be worth an upgrade!

For as long as I can remember, games and game machines have come with a epilepsy warnings. This machine will no doubt be the one that a great deal more people won't be able to use. With the major influx of 3D movies, and the soon to be released 3D TV's, everything seems to be going 3D. But I have read of people dropping outside cinemas from "3d" movies! Add this with the eye strain the DS already gives from looking at a tiny screen so close to your face (I get the same eye strain with PSP also)! I have heard of a tech that exists to have 3D images without the glasses (I can imagine having to overlap your vision like "Magic Eye" pics, but I haven't read the tech details on how it works)! But, I for one get migranes from watching 3D, so I will just stick to my current DS!
