@thinkcap: The c-stick is nice, but so far feels like an afterthought add-on. It is NOT as free moving as the analog pad so the motions seem stiff and delayed a moment or two when using it. When playing Majora, I still use the "L" button to center the camera behind me, rather than the stick. Habit or choice? Couldn't tell ya yet.

The worst thing about MH3 on the 3DS was swimming imho. I don't know enough about MH4 yet to know if swimming will come into play in this one. Considering it takes place in a huge desert area, it may not even be an issue, but again, dunno. The little I've played of MH4, the stick didn't get in the way, but it didn't seem like a game-changer either.

In the end, I can see the c-stick being used for simple camera movements, but I can't see it being used to actually control a character quickly. It seems like more of an option than anything else.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the New 3DS, but the stick is not the main reason I got it. I find myself surprised when my thumb actually goes to the nub to control the camera because I actually don't consciously think about using it... When I do, I think to myself: "Hey! That feels weird. I'm doing dual-analog on a 3DS!" ...but then I forget about it again!

Wow! Really? I put that last choice in as a joke!

Master Fortress is the Ultimate, Final-Form, Big-Bad, End of the Game BOSSClassic Mode 8.0 Intensity or Higher for Smash Bros. Wii U!

I'm guessing at the utter lack of response most people haven't reached it... I didn't expect people to not know about it!

I was just thinking the same, exact thing! Scary!

I think Sunshine is a good fit for the 3DS. They are going to want to release games that utilize the 'Nub' and Extra Shoulder buttons and it's a Mario game no less! I don't think Ninty would want to put it out on the U as it entirely possible to make it, and make it look GOOD, on the 3DS... and just from a plain old numbers sense: Sunshine had low numbers for a Mario game. Why release it again on a system that has a lower than average number of people that own it (the U, unfortunately) when they can release it on the 3DS and have it produce HUGE numbers just by default!

Edit: Haha! Just noticed a HUGE flaw in my reasoning... It's the New 3DS I am talking about and not that many people have it yet! I still feel it fits better on the New 3DS than the U, though!

Don't let this thread discourage you. It's actually an EXCELLENT game. Typical Intelligent Systems quality through and through.

The graphics are actually VERY good when seen on the 3DS. The gameplay is, well, intelligent, and a breath of fresh air on a Nintendo console. For everyone that says they don't take any risks, don't have any new ideas and need to create a new IP, here you go!

There's a fine balance of action versus knowing when to conserve your steam and let the enemies come to you. There's that extraordinary feeling of satisfaction when a plan you are devising works out well. There's that crushing guilt and annoyance when the enemy outsmarts you and starts to badly damage your team. Make no mistake, don't let the comic-book look fool you, the game IS NOT easy!

The sound effects are actually very good also. There's a click-clack-BANG sound to loading and firing your weapon that's just perfect. Actually psyches you up when you are about to take your shot. Hard to describe, but it's been mentioned in many previews already! Destroying your environment, picking up coins and gear is also supremely satisfying and the audio is perfect, as well.

It's really a GREAT blending of Intelligent Systems ideas + Xcom style gameplay + Valkyria Chronicles... There's Online Multiplayer...

I went from not interested to having my hands twitch in anticipation of getting my hands on the final game after playing the demo! March can't come soon enough for me!

TRY. THE. FREE. DEMO!! Don't just take someone's opinion on this one! Remember how some of the Advance Wars games became rare after launch because Nintendo didn't have enough faith in the Western market to appreciate strategy games on their systems? Yeah. DON'T let this happen to you with Code Name STEAM. Trust me on this one, it's worth it!!

Only way to beat depression is to recognize, get help and face it head on. Trying to ignore it or distracting yourself from it never makes it better.

In a way, games can make it worse, as they set up a mind-set of "life" being a set of problems that can be solved in a sitting, where perfection is a possibility, where good always conquers evil and there's a set beginning and end to things. Games pretty much are a set of controlled variables where you start to expect what's going to happen next; life... you never know which way it's going to turn from one moment to the next.

There's no 1-Up for life, nor a reset button. Depression is a distraction to life itself. No need to distract yourself from a distraction or nothing will ever get done.

Thanks for the impressions! I picked it up. I enjoyed the bit of Dead Island I played, so if this is better, then I am excited.

One word of warning though: I've been hearing a LOT about lost progress, skills and belongings; So bad some people are having to restart after several hours of play. It seems as if this game Saves in the background A LOT. Do yourself a favor and ALWAYS Quit to the Main Menu before shutting down your system, as this seems to be a rampant run of corrupted saves more than a bug in the game.
