[QUOTE="angelic"]go for Dragon Quest VIII!! and i'd recommend persona 3:FES.bardos-the-3rd

hehe of cours this 2 games are the best you can get

there are a lot of good rpgs on ps2:

shadow hearts 2,3

valkyrie profile silmeria

radiata stories

suikoden 3,4,5,tactics

tales of abyss and tales of legendia

grandia 2,3

xenosaga 1,2,3

wild arms 3,4,5,altered code f

IF YOU LIKE RPGS THAT HAVE A GOOD STORY AND YOU DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HARD GAMES THAT ARE LAKING IN SOME OTHER "THINGS"

shin megami tensei:nocture, digital devil saga 1,2 ,devil summoner (this games are very hard)

disgaea 1,2 and "soul nomad and the world eaters"(tactic rpgs with primitive 2d graphics)

Sir, you win 1000 internets.

I own or have owned all these games in the past and have beaten them all and gotten everything possible out of them, and I have to say that they are some of the greatest, most addictive games in existence.

If you've got time and some cash to burn, I suggest looking for Chrono Cross and Legend of Dragoon (they're both PSO games, but they're obviously compatible still); they are both incredible and incredibly innovative and beautiful games.

For me it was Super Mario Bros for the NES at age 3.SirSnafflepuss
same.

I didn't really get into it until I started playing sonic and then the age of RPGS came, and I was sold from then on, due to extensive gaming sessions involving Chrono Cross, Legend of Dragoon, and FFVII.

Soul Nomad & the World Eaters, FFXII, FFX, FFX-2 (yeah, I know; bring on the hate), uhh...

MGS:2 Substance (seriously? you didn't like the skateboarding?), MGS:3, {Spy Fiction} (sweet hi-tech spy stuff), hmm...

I loved FIFA 08, but that's about it, I think.

I think Final Fantasy XII, Soul Nomad & the World Eaters (for a 2-D sprite world), Shin Megami Tensei - Persona 3 (awesome, stylishly artful characters, and I loved the anime cutscenes) and I would definitely put Dynasty/Samurai Warriors in there somewhere.

Then again, in a hack-'n-slash, what else can you put into a game?

A billion Characters, creation mode, story mode, weapons, outrageous kill counts...

Oh yeah, make the graphics top-notch, since that's all we can really do...

Sorry, a little off-topic.
