I'm unclear on this whole issue. Do they have to be enabled by the developer or can they be added through firmware updates? Also when in game XMB comes through an update would custom soundtracks be available?
Any help is appreciated:D

So if that is the case...will older PS3 game be able to use the in game XMB???
Yes of course its worth it. Its Digital signal. Only make sure to get a Good HDMI Cable nothing cheap...as a cheap cable could allow outside interference (signal degradation). I used a $10 HDMI cable with my PS3 and it would flake out on me...intill I read on a bunch of forums about not using cheap cable. Hey people dont flame me or slam me...just stating my experince. As for the Audio being better I dont know..I'm into Video.
I have a wii and I only own 2 games for it...I have a ps and I Only own 2 games for it...I own a 360 and only own 1 game for it. So my take it they are great machines but..They each have their own weakness..Wii's is to high of cost.360's not enough SKU'sPS3 way to many Triple A games for it.
