To fix the connection expired problem, type in console the following: cl_connectionAttempts "60"
You will then be attempting to join a server for 60 seconds instead of the default 10. I haven't found a way to change the default setting, so you have to type it every time you start MP for now.

Basically the only enemy you're fighting the whole time is the same (splicers). Don't know if it's me, but I can't see any difference at all between them. Only difference is the amount of bullets each of them has to take before they go down. To me that is enough to not play through the game again. Great game the first time through but zero replay value (to me at least).
