@brianbowen80 Apart from the fact that the fiction they created was amazing, Infinite as a game never really appealed to me.
The gameplay is clearly flawed with elements that were completely out of place/forced into the game. Vigors were not part of the world (unlike plasmids in Rapture), and the gunplay was just downright confused. Parts of the story were clearly slapped on to provide an explanation for the bullet-hell guns-and-explosions gameplay vignette.
It's funny when we give a game a perfect score when it's clearly strung together with quick time events.
Is it just because it looks pretty, or it's a great story, with great characters? Make a movie on it, would still be great (if not better).
It's not about replayability at all, how much of that character was 'ME'? The only choices I saw myself make was during combat, because that's the best we can do.
This score is spot on, 7.5 in my books. Overrated, like Bioshock.
@PixelAddict @NeoMortiny I could argue how the gameplay in Bioshock games actually takes away from consuming the environments and enjoying the world around you.
Magnificent visuals and lush world with great architecture, didn't see any of it, too busy looking down and looting corpses.
