HALO 3 is mediocre but the fact that everyone says its amazing makes me hate it.

I heard that you can use a PS3 controller to play games just by plugging it in with a USB and downloading a program. Any truth to this? If so could i get a link to the program?

P.S. Please don't tell me "google is your friend" or something along those lines, I've looked and every site i go to has a different program with adifferent set of instructions
