they lied?

I have had only positive experiences from ms support.

radoman
I assume when he called that when he mentioned RROD they denied being MS, and told him to get lost.

To be honest this can be a terrible upgrade from consoles depending on subscription fees and other stuff. It can be good for MP though. I still like my phyical media for consoles though.

Tiefster
Agreed, but they have to do it in order to compete if this type of service ever catches on. I would totally prefer buying consoles, and physical media. It's just nice to have a nice looking console, and a collection of games sitting up on an entertainment center :)

I hope this is true. OnLive can go die. If this means that the consoles all get to keep their exclusives, and such I'm all for it :)

Well, it wasn't really a generation, but the Atari Jaguar and Sega CD graphics were just not meant for games. They were so terrible with those really low res movie scenes, or the garbage graphics the Jaguar could put out even though it was a 64 bit console :( However, Tempest 2000 kicks ass. That's a game I enjoy playing.

I doubt we'll get much more from the console over the DS beyond what Nintendo cares to produce. Game developers aren't really going to care to take the games to the limit on the DSi if 95% of the install base is still using their Lite of Phat. If the DSi catches on then perhaps. I would assume the capabilities will allow stuff such as Conker, or DK64, or Banjo Tooie type games to be playable though :) Let's just hope they deliver some goods.

NES SNES N64 Gamecube Wii 360 Gameboy Pocket Gameboy Color Gameboy Advance GB Micro DS Lite PSP I've owned a PS1 and PS2, and the old Sega consoles, but I don't anymore. I'm not a sheep, but Nintendo will always be my champ :)

Good thing I thought Guitar Hero was lame otherwise I might own it, and be in this predicament.

The PSP It's not that I don't like the PSP, or that the games are bad or anything, but the DS just has amazing game after amazing game, so my money goes there. Would have preferred to have saved the $250 I spent on the PSP, and the $200 or so dollars I spent on games.
