To all the people who approve of this acquisition: Facebook money is WAY more fast and furious than video game money. What I mean is, when you're used to billions every year from ads/selling personal info to corporations .& governments, you're suddenly not content with making "change" trying to sell video games on a VR headset. If you made millions every year making YouTube videos (Pewdiepie, boogie2988), would you also suddenly take up working as a janitor, on the side?! Please...Mr. Z has got FaceBook-like plans for Oculus, & whoever doesn't see that is delusional as Hell... :-/

Let me get this straight: you're the CTO, and you didn't know ANYTHING?! What did Mr. Zuckerberg do, swipe his credit card online for the 2bn dollar purchase for Oculus over the weekend?! Please...pfft. If you "sold out", just SAY "We sold out, y'all!" But to take 2Billion dollars, to take kick starter money for a startup project with a vision, and then say, *YAWN* "What happened? I woke up this morning, and my bank account is FAT. I have no idea how that happened! Oh, Facebook bought us? That's great, that's exactly the type of representative we wanted for our VR technology!" is ridiculous...*smh*

You don't get it. Sales is about CONVINCING. If people believe in something, they will follow. A lot of people BELIEVE in what Snowden is selling. Besides techies/kids with money to burn, it doesn't matter what Titanfall's or Halo's Microsoft brings out, the people who believe WON'T BUY IT. KINECT or not...

IT'S A SPYCAM THEY HAD PACKAGED WITH A VIDEO GAMES SYSTEM! If someone believes that, they're not going to just suddenly "be alright" with the fact that it can be unplugged. That's what Microsoft doesn't get...

Here's a thought: MAYBE...what's happening has NOTHING to do with video games, and more to do with CIVIL RIGHTS. MAYBE...the initial holiday sales of the Xbox One are due EXCLUSIVELY to tech-kids, the naive kind, and it stops RIGHT THERE. You threw out there that you were fortunate to afford both. I SERIOUSLY don't think that has too much to do with it. PS3 WALKED DOWN the Xbox 360 with a higher price the WHOLE GEN. MAYBE...it's deeper than just GAMES...
