"In my opinion pokemon is a RPG-wannabe only for people who can't beat a REAL rgp. (And that is just silly)" And your opinion is wrong, why? Because it is no longer an opinion when you state that Pokemon is an only for people who can't beat a real RPG. What exactly is your basis on that? Eh, nub? Sorry but you can dislike Pokemon however you want just because it is "teh kiddiez" but Gold and Silver were EXCELLENT games. I don't understand anyone who would deny themselves of those games. Pokemon is as real of an RPG as any, in fact it can even get pretty hardcore if you care enough about breeding and tournaments (which do still exist and have a VERY large membership). In fact, for those who didn't know a majority of Pokemon fans are actually young adults or older teens, the numbers prove it. Pokemon may be child-friendly, but most of it's fans and hardcore players are adults. Also anyone who says it is a bad idea for Nintendo to make another Pokemon game, fails at Business 101. Those games rank in the money like crazy, there is a reason Nintendo calls themselves the "pokemon company".

Vulpis - ". It's meant as a social activity. ;-)" That's funny, I can hardly find anyone out there with a PKMN game my age to trade with. Sorry but that is complete bull, if Nintendo truly wanted it to be a social thing then they would have made it that through both Diamon and Pearl you can catch them all. Yet instead they made it that you have to know someone with the old games (which alienates newcomers) or have the old game yourself in order to get them all. NOT only that, but you also have to have the console games. Face it, Nintendo WANTS you to spend mo money and buy the same game essentially twice. I mean, what other justification where there for making it that you could only get certain pokemon in your Emerald game by making it you needed Pokemon XD: or Coleseum.

I am only interested in Pokemon Pearl for the DS since it promises to be like Gold/Silver. I love that the whole "time" feature is back and hopefully this will be an interesting land to explore with many strange secrets and interesting ones like in G/S. Although one thing I HATE about Pokemon nowadays is how hard it is to be able to create any combination you want. In order to be able to have all of the pokemon that exist in one game you need 4 different Pokemon games. This one for the WIi (which I'm not getting, screw Nintendo trying to force me to spend more money), Emerald, Ruby, and Firered/Leaf Green. Not only that but I do believe you also require one of the GCNs games. In order to get pokemon from the Gold and Silver games. tsk tsk... Nintendo just needs to create a game where ALL of the Pokemon are available within, simple as that but I know they wouldn't do that. The more sales they can squeeze out the better as far as they are concerned. They probably are laughing at how many games each consumer is required to get if they want to be able to have any combination for a party or "catch them all" which was ONCE their slogan.
