I hope this is just a taste, even the slightest, of what we hope to see in the next Diablo

Was buying Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light.

If it was $50 I would have been just as happy. I LOVE it.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"].. Contact.. Steam.. Quite simple here.. ferrari2001
This, it's very simply and any problem will be fixed. You can't just rely on your self all the time.

I love how people respond with reading the original post. Steam has been contacted. (and nothing but generic reply)

[QUOTE="millerlight89"][QUOTE="kozzy1234"]

Your doing something wrong..

I have over 100 games on steam.. and been on there since the begining... NOT one time was I unable to play a game I bought on steam.

Steam really isnt that bad, its awesome imo.

kozzy1234

Same here. It amazes me some have these problems, yet people ike you and me can go game after game and not have a single problem. Though somehow it is Steam :P.

Teh evil Steam! :P

Oh, yes. It's me that's doing something wrong. It's me that enters my email address incorrectly, the SAME email address where I received my purchase confirmation from Steam, and am told my email address is not registered with Steam. It's me that answers incorrectly "5" to the security question "how many letters are in "Steam?". It's me that caused "scanning for Steam licenses updates" for over 12 hours. It may work for you, but clearly there are many others that have far from perfect transactions with them.

The security question I was asked to answer was "How many letters in thh word Steam" I entered 5 and was told I supplied an incorrect answer to their security question. For everyone responding telling to contact support - I did! This was in my original post. And when asked to enter my email address (THE SAME EMAIL WHERE I HAVE THE CONFIRMATION OF MY PURCHASE) Steam tells my my email address is not a registered email with Steam.

I purchased Lara Croft and the Guardian of Life last night.

My credit card was charged and I received the email to log into my account and the game will appear in my library.

Installing the game, I received "scanning for Steam licenses updates..." and waited for it to complete. And waited. For hours.

I aborted this assuming there was an error, and relaunched it. Still received "scanning for Steam license updates..." and let it run overnight. I woke up to "scanning for Steam license updates...". I logged out and logeed back in and Lara Croft is not in my library like the confirmation EMAIL stated. I emailed support and will wait for a response. I figured I would go into the forums and try a find a solution. Logging into the forums, I received "Steam does not recognize your email address. (the same email address I just received confirmation of my purchase) WTF? I chose to retrive my user name and password (assuming I'm doing something wrong) and was prompted with a security question "how many letters are in the word STEAM? I typed 5 and hit enter and was told "the answer to the security question is incorrect."

I am so damn frustrated with Steam. Can I cancel this purchase and receive a refund if I can't play it? I'll download it elsewhere and NEVER use Steam again.

Believe me, if it was sold that way, it would be in hand or on my shelf with my "collection"
