I don't think too many people were attracted to the main protagonist of Breaking Bad. What mattered was that they could relate to him and his actions in some way or another. Final Fantasy VI made me care about its characters because their struggles and motivations made sense to me. More polygons equal more emotions? I think not.

@pip3dream @brainiac1988 And there are plenty of big budget Hollywood movies that are marvels of modern CG. Do they all deserves high scores by default? As the gaming medium is growing up, each individual title should be held to higher standards than mere technical execution.

@brainiac1988 @Mellowcow I think by now we should expect games to be technically flawless when we're just talking about bugs and performance. Going into game mechanics, the reviewer found plenty of flaws with combat and how it doesn't gel with the narrative at all.

@JaxxRaxor And consoles are even lower-specced gaming computers. What matters is the experience. Valve are making Steam a viable option for the living room. That's what's going on here.
