I don't think that is it at all and I think you seriously missed the mark there. The Coalition have even stated the series is still Gears of War. And I don't know where you've been living for the last decade because I've heard the series referred to as Gears literally since the first game lol.
Sounded more like Uncharted 4 and Uncharted Lost Legacy to me with more open world sections that feature driving but still being a linear game overall with different levels instead of one open world map. It definitely sounds really really good tho regardless lol ?.
I honestly think a Gears game in the vein of Ghost Recon would be cool as ****. Could you imagine setting up and snipping Locust from miles away watching there fucking heads explode each time would be fun as hell lol ? ? ?
As a huge RE fan myself and knowing many other fans of the series that is in no way true many fans widely consider RE4 RE5 and RE6 as the best in the series with RE4 or RE5 being the absolute best and that is usually because of 5's co-op features. RE2 REmake could have easily supported co-op it would be simple the game was actually just wrote in a way that separated Claire and Leon in the beginning on purpose but could have easily been written to where they don't split up after the Police car explosion and make it to the Raccoon City Police department together and explore the place together combining the different scenerios A and B into one big long play through. It would have been epic and having a friend to play with would have made the experience of the game all the more better. Honestly just thinking about the gets me hyped.
I would be very pleased with a new co-op Resident Evil game. That was the one thing that was missing from the RE2 REmake that would have made it a master piece. So this sounds interesting as hell first one to unlock infinite ammo wins lol ? ? ?
