I was considering buying a PSP for a portable gaming/media device but I changed my mind when seeing what the Asus EEE PC 900HA could do. It can play most pre-2005 games like GTA: San Andreas, UT2004, Half-Life 2 (with the right settings) and many more. Considering it's a fully functional PC that comes with WinXP and you can fill it up with older games much too your nostalgic delight. It only costs a bit more than a PSP and has MUCH more value. I don't see these netbooks as desktop replacements but as really great portable media/internet devices with decent gaming ability considering the price. The Asus N10J (that features the dedicated Nvidia graphics) is DOUBLE the price of the Asus EEE 900HA plus it's bigger and heavier. Don't get me wrong the Asus N10J is a great little device but I don't consider it a "proper" netbook being at almost $700, netbooks are supposed to be cheap. P.S: I'd like to openly apologize to Gamespot for my previous post in this feature, didn't know I would breach terms of use. It won't happen again.

Yup, it definitely deserves the honour. Actually, I started playing it again about a month ago, the source edition of Half-Life 1 (came with HL2). Can't wait for the Black Mesa HL2 mod to come out, that looks insane.

Hey, can anybody help me out. I'm thinking of getting a new PC in a couple of months, but I'm not sure what video card to get. I'm a Nvida fan, so I'm probably gonna stick to my guns. Should I get a 6800 GT or save up for a 7300 GT. Which is better? I find that Nvidia cards can run most games without problems. ATI cards always have a problem with certain games, like it won't draw shadows properly or some texture won't come out right. I've known recent and past ATI cards to perform great but they always have compatability problems. I just won't ever trust an ATI in my PC..

I can run Half-Life 2 smoothly at mediem graphics on my PC, check this out! Pentium III 866Mhz 40BG Hard drive Sound Blaster Live Value 512MB RAM (running at 133mhz) GeForce 4 MX440 64MB All runnning on a 4x AGP motherboard that's so old the maximum RAM it can take IS 512MB, I have more RAM but I can't intall it due to that limit. San Andreas runs smooth as hell too, full graphics. The only thing that sux is I can't run cool games like Oblivion or Splinter Cell 2 Pandora Tomorrow (doesn't support MX440 chipset). I don't feel it's worth it upgrading just my video card. I'm saving up cash to buy a whole new PC.
