I don't see Microsoft or Sony leaving, but Nintendo is definitely a possibility. Can't really say that they are staying in because they announced a new console. The tech on the new console is just them finally catching up with the next-gen consoles. I could definitely see Nintendo trying to focus more of their power on handhelds, tablets, and other entertainment devices, but they've given up the tech fight long ago. And Microsoft isn't going to leave an area where Apple is completely absent. It is way to easy.

Here's a quote from the end: "The Wind Waker's aesthetic was one of The Legend of Zelda's greatest accomplishments, but its controversial beginnings and the general lack of acceptance from so-called fans have all but doomed chances for that visual style to return in console form. And if Nintendo has seemingly learned anything from this experience, it's that The Legend of Zelda has fallen victim to its own success." "So-called fans"??? So, if we are critical about an art style we don't like, we aren't real fans? The REAL problem is, is that if we are critical of a certain Zelda game for doing something we don't like, we are immediately ousted as people who aren't really fans, by "so-called gamespot writers."

hmmm...I have to disable an advertisement blocker to watch it? Wouldn't that mean I'm watching an advertisement, not entertainment? ...What logically follows, is MLG is not a real sport, or rather anything that is truly a competition of skill, it is one big advertisement, for Activision-Blizzard.

Topic of the article is too narrow for the content. The article doesn't just discuss religion in games, it discusses the much broader phenomenon of games tackling concepts that film, tv, and books have been tackling. It is just the medium coming to terms. Catherine, Portal 2, Bastion, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Fable (all mentioned in the article) are not narrowly about religion. Maybe about 1/10 of any given story in these games may have something to do with real religions, but you'd be missing the larger point.

How was there no mention of "The Binding of Isaac"??? And also, there is nothing in Portal 2 about a Mother/Daughter relationship. The mother/daughter myth was debunked around 800 times in the steam forums

Frank Paerce says: " The most important thing we're going to see in PC gaming is a constantly connected networked experience for people because they are discovering how important their connections to their friends and family are." Franke Paerce means: " We are going to make you stay online all the time to make sure you don't Pirate, or modify Diablo. That's right, we are going to DRM our games to death" I'm not even boycotting Blizzard games anymore at this point. I'm just not going to buy them because their games because they won't be playable. It's a sad day in PC gaming.

Frank Paerce should not have been given an outlet to spew on. He represents everything that is killing PC gaming, as every other developer mentioned. DLC, online only requirements when you can't possibly keep up with growing network demands, an outright hostile attitude towards the modding community, it goes on... The biggest threat to PC gaming is Activision-Blizzard, and any other company that follows their lead.

@hogstomp You obviously don't work 60 hours, because if you did, you would understand paid overtime is a legal right, and it is illegal to avoid paying employees overtime by skewing how many hours they really worked.

@HogStomp Really? Ask the people at Team Bundi. Australia doesn't have any big developers. The programmers at Bundi new this was their only shot, and quitting would put their careers in danger. The management also knew this, and took advantage of it. And no, you do not work 60 hours a week and get paid the same. If you have to lie to back up your arguement, then you should drop your point. Also, in the Bundi incident, people who worked on the game were left out of the credits, even though they did commendable work. You think plagiarism is "ok"?
