I'm getting Just Cause 2 at the steam sale tomorrow. I was wondering if there was a mod to: 1: Take out the blood out, (or cloak it) 2: take out cussing if possible.

Where can I get a mod that would do this or where can I request a mod for this? Thanks.

I just had a problem similar to this dealing with the BF2 1.41-1.5 patches. I would try downloading the patch with Firefox. Internet Explorer will not download unless you have good internet connection. Chrome will not download entire files well. Firefox downloads the files in a steady manner, so the files are complete and not broken.

1: Download Firefox

2: Download the 1.5 Patch.

3: Run 1.5 Patch

It worked for me, but beyond that, i'm afraid I'm no help.

If you have an error that no other Vista owner that you know has had how do you know its even related to Vista?

I thought win7 was basically just a patched version of Vista and given that Vista is now currently patched outside of virtualizing some drivers the two OS's are basically the same. I have been running Vista for about 4 years now on two machine with only had a few problems that were not related to simply 'run as admin'

SEANMCAD

I have been running Vista for 2 years now as well. BF2 was actually seen as almost incompatiblefor Vista. I don't know why it's giving me THIS much trouble though. We'll see if running the 1.5 patch will work. (Still downloading)

I have the same trouble with graphics. I find games with bad graphics hard to play. However, I have found these graphics are dated, but they do not interfere with playing the game.

I think the service pack is doing something to it. It's a mess. :(

F.E.A.R 2 Project Origin and Gears Of War! I'm sure your son will love itguildclaws

[SARCASM] Oh yeah! Maybe you should try Half Life 2 as well! I'm sure he would LOVE Ravenholm! [/SARCASM]

Honestly though, Gmod would be a good game. I would also recommend Just Cause 2. It's a 3rd person free-roam sandbox shooter. You can download mods to take the blood out, and there is almost no swearing. There is a lot of action and a lot of explosions. ;)

Ok. Should I download the patch from anywhere in particular?

@ventor: Yeah, Windows7 is my next purchase.
