>Playing the game online may require some firewall configuration Seriously? Is that a valid argument? Where have you seen a game that wouldn't require any firewall adjustments to play online (if you keep whitelist or similar policy)?
@bobbetybob @RabidBurp Well, my experience claims that games going heavy on CGI trailers usually have crappy graphics and (which is far more important) shitty hold-that-button/mash-that-button/hit-that-button-at-"right"-moment gameplay. There probably are exceptions as everywhere but I haven't seen one yet.
> surprised when I realised just how soon actual launch is. Developers were probably surprised no less than you. :) Sales managers killed hundreds of would-be-awesome games in the past decade...
Wildstar is also going with that kind of business model (without the shop, though, AFAIK). And watching a few gameplay streams proves that is going to be totally worth it. With TESO... I might've given it a chance but locking a race for additional fee makes me believe they'll screw me as hard as they can. Burn in Oblivion and freeze in Skyrim, suckers. :)
@Jim_bo_bo @LADIES_MAN_2013 But it isn't a reason to hate that game either.
Although I think the source lies a bit deeper, from earlier games in SR series. SR3 was indeed a huge step back in a number of features that made people love SR1/2.
