I think the best chance was Zelda but overall i think the DS has the best library of games for any system i can probably name 20 games that deserve at least a 9 rating

i dont really see a need for a new DS besides to upgrade the graphics and maybe make a better touch screen but other than that i still think current DS's are tight

On 360 Mass effect loved that game but overall it would have to be Smash Bros Melee or Battle Tanks played those more hours than any other games

[QUOTE="Sumotaii"]I just mean like in older versions if your in 2nd place or such theres still chance to get red shells and stuff, now it seems if your up there your getting bombed with items. JordanElek

In the N64 version, there was a good chance that you'd get big items in second place, like lightning and super mushrooms. But the seven other AI racers would rarely get those weapons, no matter what position they were in. The older games, especially the N64 version, gave a huge advantage to human players in terms of items.

The major difference with the Wii version is that you're playing against eleven other human players online. The DS version only has a max of four at a time (though I'm not sure how many friends you can play against at once). The developers had to come up with a good balance of helping the people in the back while allowing the people in the front to keep the lead if they're good enough. It's definitely not perfect, but it's pretty damn close if you ask me. Considering all the variables, the online play of the Wii version is incredible.

As for "old styIe play" that was more skill than luck compared to the Wii version... that's simply not accurate. If Mario Kart 64 had been online with the same exact weapons system as in its Grand Prix mode, it would be absolute pandemonium. Everyone but the leader, no matter what place, would be getting blue shells, stars, lightning, and super mushrooms most of the time. That game was programmed to give human players an insanely unfair advantage in terms of items. Super Mario Kart was the same way, since the AI could only use their personalized weapons and nothing else.

People who are good at Super Circuit, the GBA version, rely more on skill than with any of the other games. You have a DS... buy Super Circuit. It has the gameplay of Super Mario Kart (and all of the SNES tracks as unlockables) plus some of the enhancements of Mario Kart 64 (drift boosting, newer weapons, more weapons).

Remember, when you're playing online, there's a good chance that at least one or two other racers are going to be much better than you at the game. Your best chance of beating those people is to get insanely good. Some people have VR rankings of 8000+. That's not due to luck; it's skill. There are a ton of intricacies to the game; figure them out, use them, and you'll have much more fun.

very good point and it is mostly people that relied on snaking on the DS version that will be complaining
