I posted this in the ask the mod section. I did not break and terms of use but how many think this will cause a ban?

I love it when forum moderators on Gamespot filter and finger messages that somehow point at some negative aspects of... the news articles posted, hardware problems, self promotion, and anything else that might catch their eye. You don't have to break the rules within the terms of use to be a victim here, just post something that one of the mods does not like or be on their list of non-likes. I believe that your moderators are being bias towards an intelligent discussion and unless your thread title is this (is metal gear 4 the co0lest ever), you better watch out, you get a warning! It is apparent you do not approve of me because of my race, political views, or ability to provide a compelling argument that can blow anything you have out of the water without breaking any terms of use policy. I had to pull my premium membership because every time I would post anything, you guys would send me a warning message or filter it no matter what the comment or thread. What does that do to your business? You have a member base that is underage and cannot give you any money. Now, I go over to G4 or IGN and they have intelligent discussions and a good sense of humor. I post a comment on an article about Rock Band and I get, "message not related to article." No, it is related to the article but being the non-paid (hall monitor type) domain ruler you are, the message is blocked.

In the end, you are chasing all of the adults away. You filter all of the constructive feedback that developers can use and blind everyone with propaganda from advertisements. What ever happened to the beta access and HD video? Now everyone gets it no matter premium members or not so here are the benefits of Gamspot:

1. Excessive moderation

2. A bill to pay every year

3. Harassment from the non-paid staff

I know I will be perma-banned after this message and I didn't even break your rules with it. We have to move on to better things, like spending time outside and breaking away from the oppression.

I had a guy at work as me about this the other day. I told him to put more thermal paste between the processor and fan because stock does not come with enough. It worked for him.

I had the smae problem. The motherboard or graphics card is not dead. For some reason, the refresh rate is not recognized and caused problems after you intall Win7. All you have to do is hit F8 on the boot and select VGA mode. The OS will complete the install at 640x480. After that, you can tweak your settings and refresh rate until you find what works for you. I hope this helps.

All monitors have controller boards that either have analog to digital converters or they can accept digital inputs. I am a big fan of DLP technology because the millions of mirros can change resolutions easily without and quality loss.

Your television might not support 720p. Go into the system and video menu and uncheck the 720p check mark and give it a shot. My friend has a HDTV that supports 1080i and 480p and he was having the same issues.

Oh, make sure your video card has dual output so you can clone or extend your desktop. If you have a laptop this will not be a problem but you will have to get an external HDTV tuner.

I don't know what everyone here is talking about but all you need is a tuner card. There is no risk and the audio will come out of your computer speakers. The best part is the ability to use your computer as a DVR, getting show guides and everything else online. Don't buy a cheap card and look at the reviews before you buy. Check this out...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000380047+1685342847&Tpk=tuner%20card

The only danger you have is the card overheating so have good air flow in your case and make sure you have enough hard drive space to use the DVR feature... at least 500Gb.
