This has helped a lot with what I'm looking at and I will be taking all the suggestions into consideration before I get the parts.
@Coseniath: Regarding the HDD- the place I was going to order this stuff from made you get a HDD, that is the only reason I had it on the list. Now that I'll be getting the parts from different places I won't be ordering another HDD and will go for a SSD.
@Zlurodirom: I know what you mean about most cases, that is one thing I will be thinking hard about.
@PredatorRules: I've had no problems with my current Seagate and the only WD one I got corrupted after 5 months... to each their own though lol
To me only the current gen of the time (right now it's the 8th gen) and the previous gen (the 7th right now) don't count as retro. Anything that comes before the previous gen I consider being retro, that would be the 6th gen and back (PS2, XBox, GC).
And once the next gen comes about (the 9th) then the 7th gen will become retro too.
I'm looking to build a new PC using a custom PC building site, I have a budget of around £900.
This is what I'm looking at getting:

PSU - Crosair 450W VS Series VS-450
CPU Cooler - Corsair H60 CPU Cooler
This comes to £884, any suggestions on changes I could make? I'm not looking for an all powerful beast of a machine, just something that is better than I already have.

As part of the European Union retailers can charge whatever price they want for the goods they are selling. Companies can set an RRP (Recommended Retail Price) but cannot force retailers to sell at that price. It has something to do with letting retailers compete with each other.
That's why when new consoles are released they give the price for Japan and the US but never UK/Europe- because they can't set a price, only an RRP after talking to EU reps.
So if someone buys a game for £55 from GAME when they could go to Amazon (or another online retailer) then no one is cheating the customer but the customer themselves. You should always shop around :)
