@vault-boy No Windows would affect PC gaming far more than no next-gen X-Box. The only possible news I've heard about the 720 is that it may be digital downloads only for games or otherwise lockout secondhand games, neither of which is very encouraging.

It would be hilarious if Microsoft bought Activision and lost the lawsuit Motorola filed against them. Imagine the US with no Microsoft. By extension (if they buy Activision/Blizzard), that would mean no next gen X-Box, no Windows for PC, no Call of Duty and no World of Warcraft. No next gen X-Box wouldn't bug me much, no Windows for PC would, but no CoD or WoW would (IMO) potentially improve the country. Some people might even go outside for the first time in years.

Better them than someone who would turn it into some PG-13 bullshit. No matter how bad the writing turns out it can't possibly be worse than God of War III.

@andrewwittmaier I can proudly say I've never bought a Call of Duty game. I've seen more than enough of that series visiting friends.

@Shantmaster_K Bioware screwed up by selling out to EA.

@moonlightwolf01 EA published the Sims games, Dragon Age games, Mass Effect games, the Star Wars MMO and Kingdoms of Amalur. None of which are FPS games. They want online passes and subscription fees. They also love to buy out indie devs and smaller publishers.

@Cthulad CoD is made by Activision, not EA. Unless EA bought them out and I just haven't heard yet. I agree about the ethics though and EA is just as bad as Activision. Maybe the devs should stop selling out to soulless corporate bloodsuckers.

@Spybreak 3rd person shooters usually make much better games than 1st person shooters IMO. They tend to give you more freedom of movement, among other benefits. Bulletstorm was pretty good though, at times it kinda reminded me of Duke Nukem. Call of Duty always seemed more like American military brainwashing than fun to me. My best friend, who used to like as much variety in his games as I still do in mine, now almost solely plays FPS games. When he attempts to play any other kind of game now, he sucks so bad he kills himself several times within the first few minutes and takes over an hour to do something I can do in about 10 minutes. For some reason, he also ignores/skips all cutscenes/conversations and refuses to lower the difficulty or read/listen to instructions/hints/tips. Then he wonders why I hate playing games with him now and why I won't play CoD, even though I've told him why repeatedly.
