@shadyltd1989 I think were all guessing Dead Space 4 will probably be the end of the series, or at least it going forward (Dead Space: Origins?), I just don't know how it's going to start where Awakened wildly left off.

I really hope Dead Space 4 isn't just going back to the first one or go in the direction of RE6 but try to be more of a combination of the best in every game like; Awakened and Extraction when it comes to shock horror and jump scares, a tense and lonelier atmosphere like the first one (i think everyone liked the subtle scares from the first one too), unpredictable enemy locations and ambushes like the second one, and expanding on the weapon crafting system and bots from the third one.

@rsj2 Well I don't disagree with you, I can see why people didn't like the two weapon limit and the long open world battles compared to the more confined and planned battles you had in the previous ones. I personally hated the gears (a bunch of useless ones and you can only have four) and the fact that they took away hacking and different ammo types was probably the most disappointing parts of Bioshock Infinite. However if you look at the big picture, vigor and weapon combos, melee executions (never got old for me), challenging sub-bosses, and skylines made the combat very fluid and exciting.

@TomMcShea Each to their own opinion, to me I liked the more fast paced open world combat with powers that are more supportive and creative than the clunky and constricted combat with uninteresting spell powers like the original Bioshock. Also there were a few inconsistencies with the story in Bioshock that bugged the hell out out of me but to me that's just nitpicking.

Both games did a great job of mixing sci-fi with strong political and moral themes that created one of the best stories in gaming. Both had a great atmosphere that had me begging to see and do more but both were short on logic or consistency and both had their shortcomings in the gameplay department.

8 out of 10 is a fair score if your rating this as a book but as a game I would rate this a 5. Enemies are few and far between and pose no real threat, no depth in the objectives or puzzles, no climax to all the tension each area builds up (only a bunch of jump scares), no replacement for the inventory, light, and insanity management that the first one did so well.

The only redeeming factors for this game is the great story (which is the only thing that had any kind of horror) and soundtrack but that's about it.

@LeCage Believe me it won't, at least gameplay wise. If not into the story either than your going to be REALLY disappointed.

@Aleksander99 I don't see how the baptism is so horrible or stupid in a theocratic society. All the other "ideas" that is being criticized are petty and trivial at best and certainly don't make this review very credible or unbiased for that matter.

@nechiken I thought the ending was way more thought provoking and deep than the previous ones by a long shot. Both of the previous games had more happier and touching endings, which was great in their own right but certainly more predictable and tacked on than this one.

@PinchySkree I'd say 10-12 hours, and that's assuming you don't really scrounge or explore the whole environment.
