EXACTLY!!!! some atheists are so ignorant they bypass the fact that the stuff in the old testament isnt meant to be taken literally. you know its impossible for the world to of started from 2 people and the church knows it too. old testament isnt to be taken in word for word.

Then how IS it to be taken as? Metaphor? Sorry, but taking the Bible as ANYTHING but a literal defacto account of what happened invalidates it's status as an absolute religious artifact.

Look at it this way - if, for example, the story of Noah's Ark is a metaphor and not an actual event that took place (which it didn't, it's mathematically impossible, even more so than the Adam and Eve story, which is why a lot of Christians say it's "metaphor") or if something as important to the entire Christian model of creation such as the Adam and Eve story is said to be mere symbolism, then why not follow that logic path a little further? What if God himself is a metaphor, and not an actual sentiment being? If there are metaphors in the Bible, if we aren't sure which parts should be taken factual and which should be taken symbolically, then what's to stop me from saying that God is nothing but mere symbolism as well?

On top of that, I'd like to add something else as it relates to the whole Adam / Eve story that I think is fairly important;

Maybe I'm just not up to date which all the various new interpretations of the Bible, but the last I checked, the reason we have to accept Jesus as our "Savior" is because he died for our sins, and the reason he did that was because Eve took the apple and corrupted human nature. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. What this means, assuming the Adam / Eve story is just that - a story, and not an actual event - then why did Jesus die for our sins? Perhaps he didn't die for our sins? Perhaps that's metaphor as well?

The Metal Gear Solid franchise, of course.

The original MGS on PS1 and MGS3 were the only flawless ones of the series. MGS2 had a lot of great things, but unfortunely, Plot Twists #4509 and #4510 brought it down a lot.

And while I haven't played through all of MGS4 yet, I've already read the story for it, in specific detail, numerous times, and to be honest, as an individual game / story, it sounds like the least pleasing of the bunch. A disappointment, even.

Hypochondria9

why would you read what happens in a game your playing

Because the story is why I love MGS. Same goes for most MGS fans.

Contra isn't hard. I can beat both Contra and Super C back to back without getting game over once (not without getting hit, though), and I'm by no means a Video Gaming God. I'm an above average skilled gamer at best.

Contra only started getting hard with Contra 3: The Alien Wars on the SNES (especially considering that there was no 30 lives cheat code here in North America.)

Another question - Why do men have nipples?

MagnumPI

Because a difference in chromosome determines our sex. It doesn't determine if we have nipples or not. Sex isn't determined until later stages of development and the nipples don't fall off.

Well, it just seems to me, if you're the kind of person who accepts the God model of creation, who created everything perfectly and in balance, then what's even the point of giving men nipples when we have no use for them.

I'm trying to think all the way back, and I'm sure it must have been either Double Dragon or Megaman 2 for the Nes.

(First post.)

Back in the day, the use of the N Word in the "Urbanized Community" was a way for them to try and reclaim their roots and remind each other what their race had endured over the years. There was a certain amount of pride in knowing you belong to a race that has survived that sort of racism for so long without losing your cultural indentity. Just as we created the word and used it as a knife of some sorts to try and isolate them, wound them, cripple them, rape them of their culture and spirit, they have now taken possession of the word and used it for their own reasons, which is to try and create their own little niche and culture in society.

Of course, the irony here is that by creating their own niche in society via use of the word, they have done, and are still doing, exactly what they were supposed to be away from - Segregating themselves. People, especially being white, are not allowed to use the word without being accused of doing so because of ignorance on their part. To alot of people, even as I type this up here and now, if you aren't black, especially, again, if you're white, you can't even listen to Rap / Hip-Hop, or even dress in what would typically be called "black fashion" without being accused of trying to "invade" black culture, where, apparently, us "crackas" simply "don't belong."

In all honesty, I've used the word behind closed doors, but I would never do so to the face of another black person because of the stigma attached to it. Being southern, it also wouldn't do me any favors, as I would almost immeditely be labeled as a typical racist "from the South."
