go for the easiest first. So don't go for the SNES ones right away. Maybe start out with VII or VIII. Then move on to IX, X, and the SNES titles (I - VI)
A few of us here at Final Fantasy Experience were fortunate enough to play the import version of Dirge of Cerberus, Final Fantasy VII early in the year. We gave our basic opinion about the game on the forums and came to a conclusion like many of it's critics that the game needed some improvement. But still, it had it's fun moments. We didn't try to go into full detail with the game. As you know, DoC releases next week in North America with some major improvements over the Japanese verison. Since it should be a different game somewhat, I am going to show you a review from a importer, which basically tells a unwanting truth. But, like I said before some of those truths have been revised. The North American verison has new gameplay, the English cast, and 40 extra missions. Still, we won't truely know until the 15th!

Square should stop milking FFVII, and focus on a new Chrono game. Only if that new Chrono game is not a disgrace to the original, like Cross was.
Well I'm playing Final Fantasy IX for the first time and I'm at the end of the third disc in Terra. So far, it hasn't affected my gameplay, BUT some paths in the dungeons may look like scenery, when you have to cross them to move on........:(mr_bri9htside
All the paths are part of the scenery. Its a prerendered backround.
