I'm surprised no one on this forum has mentioned Retro Gamer. Its from the UK, but Barnes and Noble imports them. I really think its a great mag that goes in depth into a lot of the video game industries past games. They also cover old PC games as well. Highly recommended for this crowd.

How would you rate Nintendo's systems throughout the ages? Excluding handhelds, because they are in a league of their own, how would you rank them? The list includes... NES SNES N-64 Gamecube Wii. I believe that is all of them. If I have forgotten any, I'm sorry. Include any that you wish to deserve to be on here.

I would value the playability of those games as high, therefor i would pay somewhere around $100 to $120 for the whole package. In my opinion, you probably have a good year's worth, maybe more, of playing time with all of those games combined Does that help?

I love the Wii and I actually play more games on it than I do my PS3. I believe the Wii has a lot of good games that no one ever talks about. Given the Wii does pull in popularity with Mario and Zelda, but even if those games weren't on there, I think I would still play it. Just my opinion, I think to discuss it the Legacy forum would be ok since the Wii U is coming.

I have a Saturn and some 90 or so games for it.

Darkman2007
You make me seriously jealous. I only have a paultry 20 or so games for my Saturn. Are most of your games import or US? I always regret not buying more RPGs when they originally came out, because now they are so expensive on Ebay. One of these days, I need to splurge and start price hunting. I've been wanting to expand my collection for years.

I believe Skies of Arcadia for the DC and Gamecube has some gun play in it. Combat is turn-based however, so I don't know if that is something you're looking for.

I find it difficult to get "into" modern arcade games. Arcade games of the 90s and 80s are what I'm into. You don't see to many stand alone arcades outside of ones attached to places like commercial miniature-golf courses. The modern machines seems to gimicky to be translated into a console game that well. Other than that, I think Shooters and Fighting games are fun to experience in an arcade.

I find it very relieving that some of these replies are similar. For some, one person's difficulty is another persons piece of cake. It's aggravating to see someone brag about something that's so difficult, but they can do in a heartbeat. Regardless, here is some of my failures in games... NES Mega Man TMNT Finding the last couple of dungeons in Zelda Beating the "Western" level in Time Lord Definitely trying to beat Mike Tyson A Boy and His Blob Sega Genesis Ecco the Dolphin Shadow of the Beast (it's a beast alright) Saturn Not getting past 10 minutes worth of Enemy Zero Not completing Shining the Holy Ark or Shining Force 3 (got close though) Die Hard Trilogy (Game 3 ugh) DC Coming so close to beating Skies of Arcadia and then the data for my save went corrupt. Hidden and Dangerous (only getting upto level 3 sucked) Overall, it looks like I fail a lot at RPGs. RPGs definitely last a long time and require you to stick it out through the end. I'm not so good at MODERN fighting games solely because combos are such a requirement to beat your opponent (mainly AI opponents). Fighting games from the 16-bit era are more my speed. Some driving/racing games are ridiculous mainly because no matter how much you're accelerating, the AI is always faster than you.
