@stickybun @JustWingin_IT You can unplug it NOW you couldn't when they announced... there is the basis not for paranoia but awareness and caution, do I think MS would risk a lawsuit? ha ha ha, they already tried to do it sir... Only the uproar of concerned, NOT paranoid gamers changed their plans... Sony and Nintendo fine whatever they are only slightly less guilty of such things... Not better... or somehow more benevolent.

You are implying something I am not, but at least Nintendo and Sony aren't trying to force you to use peripheral devices that monitor your heart and watch you and used to require you to be hooked to the internet whether you used it or not. Freedom is choice not the lack thereof and MS was actively trying to remove choices. Trust them all you want... But what are they giving away these days certainly not more choices certainly not more freedom...
@stickybun @m_bd89 Yeh man just play games and ignore stuff like... reality and people... and big brother... and the tyrants of the corporate world who really love us because they give us such amazing toys to play with while they ruin us and our environment... I love games my friend but don't be so ignorant as to think you aren't being manipulated by the data they collect on every person they can...
@Scorpion1813 @nate1222 Gotta recommend stickin with Windows, it really does have the best drivers and compatibility... Linux is cool but man drivers are a pain to deal with... for now...
@nate1222 While the elitism attitude is there among many and sometimes myself included, I believe many people in the PC community genuinely want more people to cross over into the PC market for the benefit of the PC in general, I know I do... More people that have to get educated the better... We're falling behind China and other countries like India in the tech field. More people getting their hands dirty in the PC world the better the PC world could be, more games, more mods, more developers, more affordable upgrades, and from my experience the PC gamer is more often than not a more conscious person (not always) but are respectful and helpful to other PC users... just my two cents...
@Grenadeh Was there any games for it when it launched, I also didn't realize it was out for a year, it didn't really hit the spotlight til Half-Life 2 as I recall...
@Grenadeh @JustWingin_IT Well I more or less meant it launched along side of and I don't mean the exact same day, and required it to play... I'll try to be more detail oriented...
I seem to recall when Steam launched as part of Half-Life 2 being somewhat of a disaster... and some thought they were crazy, and history now shows they were ahead of everything, sounds kind of like the first few flights by the Wright brothers... So I'm thinkin they are once again making that pre-emptive and innovative leap into at least a good direction... basically an upgradeable and more accessible PC/console...
@Godokuno_Dan Considering most of the stated games in that list were most likely created on a PC I have a hard time with your logic... Emulating God of War? Lol that's easier than you think... God of War 3 you might be right can't say for sure... but PS2 games aren't a problem... Ya got Titanfall coming for PC and Xbox but the focus is on Xbox version, ya had Crysis3 for PC and consoles and focus was on PC version, the same companies make games for consoles that make them for PC and most likely on a PC... Wake up dude... The PC will do whatever you tell it to do if you know how to tell it...
