@krayor: People like him are incapable of any rational thought. All they know is fanboy. These cretins think people are buying Xbox One's ONLY for BC. It's called a feature, something that seems quite foreign to him. He is mentally impaired.
@Thanatos2k: No he does not have a point. I mean, what sane person argues AGAINST having a feature that only benefits them? How much sense does that make? If you're a collector of game consoles, that's great. But not everyone is, and not everyone should be forced to keep their old consoles in order to play old games.
@bmpynks: My God you people suck at logic. How about this, with backwards compatibility, there would be no need for crowding out your house with multiple old systems. Backwards compatibility is more of a needed feature as time progresses. Anyone using the argument of the SNES not having BC is dense as all hell. That was back in the 90's when BC just didn't happen. It doesn't make sense to argue "Hey, my SNES didn't play NES games, so why should the PS4 play PS3 games?"
That's like saying "Hey, my console in the 90's couldn't connect to the internet, so why should my PS4?" or "Hey, I had to use the Tv Guide section of the Sunday paper to find out what's coming on, so why should we be given the ability to stream things on Netflix?"
The answer is time has progressed, things should be better and more convenient. The fact backwards compatibility doesn't exist on the PS4 speaks volumes to how much Sony really cares about taking advantage of their consumers. They think, "Hey, our player base doesn't care about BC, so why should we give it to them? Let's spend many millions of dollars on Gaikai so that we can scam them of their money, and also not give them the ability to play their PS Store purchased PS3 games."
Each and every person that encourages this behavior in Sony are what's wrong with the gaming industry. If you can't form coherent arguments, then it's best to leave the thinking up to more intelligent gamers.
@otterbee: It's normal behavior for trashy pathetic Ponies to downplay and make fun of backwards compatibility, for some strange stupid ass reason. You should be happy about this, as this could help to force Sony's hand to implement a similar feature. Especially if most of their player base demanded it. But no, you're perfectly content with Sony doing everything they can to sap more money from your bank account.
