I didn't play through Dead Space 1 all the way because I got bored of it. I'm not a huge fan of corridor shooters like Doom 3 but I thought Bioshock was scarier just because of the atmosphere and the splicers are genuinely psychotic. Dead Space didn't scare me after a few moments where monsters popped up, but maybe I didn't go far enough into the game. Like people said earlier, Dead Space is more startles whereas Bioshock, I thought, had a much scarier atmosphere overall.

The prices are roughly the same right now so that isn't an issue. But thanks for your input. I posted a new topic because that user is playing at 720p and I wanted to know if the extra RAM in the 5770 would make a difference when playing at 1080p.
I have two options right now, either a GTX 460 768mb or a HD 5770 1gb. I know that the GTX 460 1GB is better than both but that's about 50 bucks more expensive right now. I game at 1080p so will the extra memory on the 5770 get better framerates than a 460 or should I just go with the GTX 460?
I didn't think Dead Space was that scary at all but Bioshock freaked me out so i just depends on you I guess. I played Doom 3 when I was 10 so to me the monsters jumping out at you wasnt anything I hadn't seen before.
Haha yeah he can usually spot me a PSU or hard drive here and there he doesn't mind. It's a local business not a large chain so they have more leeway. So should I get a GTX 460? How would an HD 4870 or HD 5770 be at 1080p?
Does anyone know if ATI or Nvidia are coming out with new cards soon. I'm getting a brand new 1080p LCD soon and I thought that I should get a new card to go with it. I'm looking at around the $150 dollar range. I was looking at an HD 5770 but should I wait or just go for it?
