@vashvalentine: Depends on which PS2 and which PS3 the power cord is coming from/going to. The AV cables are compatible from PS1 up until the PS3 Super Slim.

Regular Desktop Computer Power Cord -> Fat PS3

Fat PS2 Power Cord -> PS3 (Super) Slim

Slim PS2 Power Cord -> PSP (MAYBE!)

Hope this little chart helped.

1TB drive. When they make 2TB+ SSHDs that fit in the PS4, I'll upgrade.

http://majornelson.com/2014/03/04/xbox-one-march-system-update-rolling-out-today/

It did end up releasing, just really late in that day/early today. If the Offline updates are the same as the one in Instant-On mode, it's 1.3GB.

Yes. They both use 2.5" SATA drives.

As long as the downloads are done on his account and are allowed to finish, yeah, you should be able to do that.

Sounds like the HDD has failed, but you can try taking the actual drive drive (little rectangle) out of the casing and hooking it up directly to a computer. If your computer detects it, try to use a 360 file browser (eg, Modio) to read the contents of the drive. HDD failure happens often, but I've never had it happen to me on a console. Good luck to you.

Place the old HDD in the new oneMonsieurX
That's wrong... PS3 literally ties the HDD to a specific system, so either way his data is screwed. New board, it will ask you to format, new console altogether, will ask you to format. The only way would be to try to get the system running again for just enough time it takes to use the Backup utility to back up everything to an external HDD. Or to use the system to system transfer, in the case you get a new console.

grand-daughter has a wii system with a RVL-001 USA CONTROLLER, rvl-014 SENSOR AND rvl-003 REMOTES. controller no longer reads the game disks. bought another controller on ebay and it is a RVL-101 controller. it reads the disks ok but neither the sensor nor the remotes function with the new controller. the sensor and remotes do work with the original controller. what do i do next?berniepek

All of the components are designed to work together. When you say "controller", I'm guessing you mean console.

Wii remotes have to be "synched" to the console they are to work with. You need to press the red sync buttons on both the Console (it should be under the flap on the front next to the SD card port if I remember correctly), and the remote (near the battery compartment, older remotes have them under the battery cover, newer ones have them visible outside. Once the controller and console are synched, I think everything should work fine for you guys.

You're welcome

That's a start, but it only currently works with MP4s. He would have to convert all his videos, and then still have to have the server running on his machine.
