Japan makes some of the best game of the generation, they are a huge factor. Or did you forget that the only exclusive game to receive a perfect 10/10 score and win GOTY was a Japanese made game...Oh and the other Exclusive game to receive a perfect 10/10 score was also a Japanese game?
Yeah people care about japan. Only a fool would think otherwise, and having the largest amount of units sold in that region has big factor in the amount of games created for it by developers.
