EA are lucky to see him go in my opinion. He took the issue with BF5 and, instead of addressing people's concerns, decided to shit all over the fanbase and call them all sexists. "Don't buy the game" he said, and people listened.
I really enjoy Battlefield games, played a TON of them, and I don't feel like this is a reskin at all. A lot of work has gone into this and it has a lot of unique systems and gameplay quirks that BF just doesn't have.
For one thing it's a hell of a lot more focussed than what we've seen from previous Battlefield installments. People are limited in their load outs so they have to specialise instead of being able to be good at everything. It also balances snipers quite well by putting them on cooldown (although I wish it was longer).
Oh, and it is possible to win as Rebels. The problem is that a lot of console players are..well...stupid, so they don't go after the objectives properly and they don't focus AT-ATs right with the anti-vehicle turrets.
Switch to the PC beta and Rebels win regularly because the barrier to entry is higher.
@d_parker: That just shows that you don't play much Battlefield. Battlefront is drastically different in pacing, mechanics, tone, intent. It's a vastly different game to Battlefield, while it's still an FPS.
