Hi GameSpot,

Why is there adult only content (Seduce Me) on the front page in the top 10 games? I understand that this is based on user generated data, but I'm not sure that it should be on the front page where any kid could see it.

And yes, I know that any kid could search for AO content on the web... Gamespot is not responsible for managing all of the other stuff on the web, but they are responsibe for managing the content on their site.

Are there any filters in place on the site based on a users profile?

I'd just like to see an option for the profanity to be filtered. I understand that developers might want a game to seem gritty and feel like the streets of some crime-ridden city, but what if I don't want to hear that stuff in my house?

With the tools and flexibility that computers give developers, I don't think there is an excuse for excluding the option. What if I have children and I don't want my children hearing those things? Some might say, "Don't buy the game then," and that is very likely to happen anyway, but again, with the flexibility the developers have, I wish they would take advantage of it.

Why do I buy games? Do I buy a game because it has "M" stamped on the box? Certainly not! I buy a game because it will allow me to have fun and serve as a get awaycar from the real world. Profanity is a controversial thing. If developers make a game for me, the consumer, to enjoy, shouldn't they make my gaming experience as good as possible?

Perhaps I'm in such a small minority that developers don't care. If so, I'll be playing less games. T for teen? All right, here I come. What games are rated T anymore?

It probably sounds like I'm whining - sorry if that is so. I just wish that there was the option.

Hey all,

I'm curious to see if there are any others out there who feel as I do:

Why don't game developers support some type of profanity filter (For single player)? Brother's in Arms was a great game, but I hated the profanity. Tom Clancy's Vegas 2 - great game, but every other word is an F-bomb. It makes me sick and I've stopped playing the game because of it. Fallout 3 is a great game, but I've heard that the profanity in that game is frequent and gratuitous.

I know it might take a little extra effort (As in recording more takes or editing audio clips), but I think it would be worth it.

Thoughts?
