Great lists, everyone. Some of you obviously put a lot of thought into each game selection and why you chose a title/series.

I see several titles on multiple lists, too. This could serve as a good "cheat sheet" of games to worth picking up for people. hehe.

In your opinion(s), what are the best 10 pc games from the last decade? The games that any gamer simply owes it to themselves to play. If you haven't played these games, you're missing out and in for a lot of fun when you finally sit down to them.

What games would make your top 10 list and why?

As a general rule ... if I download a demo for a PC game and my PC can run the demo without any problems, should I be able to play the full version of the game fine?

(Factoring in, of course, having enough Hard Drive space to install the thing in the first place, obviously.)

False, because I just listed RTS games that I enjoyed more and think are much better than WC3 and SC. But, irony.

MangaJ

"think to be better"?

So, we are now allowed to turn something objective into something subjective?

Wow, really? What I did there was state my opinion. And I made sure to say "I think" so as to accent the fact that it's my opinion, even though I can't imagine why I'd have to point that out because of COURSE it's my opinion, as this whole thread is about opinions. And I think you have your definitions for objective and subjective mixed up. Subjective means non quantifiable, as in it's not a fact, it's an opinion. Do you get what I'm saying here?

If I were to turn something objective into something subjective, I would say "It's an opinion that cars have wheels." What you might have meant to say is that I was stating the subjective as objective facts, like "It's scientifically proven that StarCraft and WarCraft are not the best RTS games out there."

As to whether or not you're allowed to do that sort of thing, we have freedom of speech and you certainly won't be punished under the power of the law for doing such a thing.

My suggestion to you is to either move on, or, if you insist on directing future posts towards me, present points for a debate with your reasoning behind those points.

Also, it's a scientific fact that the games I like are better than the games you like.

And Bravo, MangaJ. Well said. :)

Although I had played Command and Conquer at a friend's house shortly after it first came out, the first RTS that I bought for myself was AoE2. It was hands down one of the best gaming purchases I've ever made. I don't know how many hours I played the thing. Not only that, but unlike EVERY one of the console games I was playing at the time, Age of Empires 2 had damn near unending replay value. Shear fun, strategy, and replay value are, imo, a mean combination that makes RTS games so damn good. Sadly, during one of my moves in college the game disappeared. /fond sigh
