I have a very typical Torontonian attitude towards Quebec, and that is I dislike it, and all things to do with it. Why? Let me list the main reasons.
1) If you have a predominately French sign, yet have English in little itty bitty characters that are hard to make out, you can still be subject to a ridiculous fine.
2) If you work in a business that has more than fifty people (I believe it's fifty, but I could be wrong), you are obligated, by law, to have both languages spoken, even in a city like Montreal, which is pretty much English-fied.
3) Quebec doesn't want to follow the federal government, yet consistently whines at them and requests various things.
4) Racism and intolerance prevalent in not only the government, but a vast majority of those who reside in that wasteland (not including Montreal, which, again, is normal, considering the rest of the province).
5) The complete butchery of the French language, and the only class I chose not to attend in school way back when (despite being mandatory, there are ways out of it). If I had any interest in learning French, it would be Parisian French.
6) The province is selfish, tactless, and an overall rude place, that serves no purpose other than being a blight on the country, and to bring down property values of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.
