E-40 feat Keak Da Sneak, "Tell Me When to Go"

Well, the video for this is now finally out, and that means the album can't be much further away. I just wished they chose to shoot the video for Part II of the song (which I have yet to hear; I hear it's available on Itunes) which features The Federation instead of Keak. I say this partially because The Fed has been on such a roll lately (ESPECIALLY Goldie Gold), but also because Keak's performance on this song is pretty much garbage. I mean, he pretty much even admits it himself ("this is just some s**t I wrote"), but it's a shame since his voice is about as gully as he's been since before the bay started to blow up. The only two lines I really care for is the line about being "saved by John the Pope" and "yadidamean, yadidasayin' though?".

So, everything generally seems to be going well for this album, until I read that apparently ... Kanye West is going to be a guest on the album. I don't know if he's going to produce or just lend some vocals ... but either way ... dammit.

Almost as bad is the guest appearance by quite possibly the most useless southern rapper, Lil' Scrappy. In fact, there's too much of a souther presence on this record, with cameos from the likes of Mike Jones, Paul Wall, and (I believe) Chamillionaire. Why not get Bun-B? Besides, the whole point of this is that this is supposed to open the flood gates for the West to run over the South ... but I guess, if this is what it takes to get the mainstream to accept this stuff, so be it. I just hope the album lives up to my impossibly high expectations ...

Dude you HAVE TO GET LIQUID SWORDS. It's one of the few CD's that get's better every time. And Once you get that you have to have Grandmaster's. You can't have one without the other. It is worth the DL.
