[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] Maybe it's not EA and these websites which are taking advantage of the success and charging and extra $5....?FelipeInside

The DD version of ToR is Origin Exclusive.

Ok, but like another poster said... if the TOTAL is $60 (which is the normal retail price of any game) then why the whole FUSS about $5....?

It isnt the five dollars. its over all. Origin should only take the 5. Well its taking the whole amount out of peoples accounts some people are getting the flick from the Custormer service Origin has and whatnot. and if in recall when you Preorder theres a chance you might not GET IT at ALL, which is another werid thing with these DD copies. people are getting emails from Origin saying its confirmed but then saying "You MAY, get this pre order of The Old Republic" This whole Pre ordering program has crashed and burned now the Community manager is running scared because he said "We arent planning to IP block people" yesterday and now has turned around saying "i have to research this more you might not like the answer"

This whole thing is a disaster. and mind boggling to hell.

I'm no EA fanboy, but I am pretty sure that $5 is part of the price.

So, you "pay" $5 for pre-order and then $55 for the game, totalling $60 (the price of all EA games).

FelipeInside

Probably right. just find the whole "WE have LIMITED DIGITAL DOWNLOADS" Amusing and sad.

Werid as hell. I wonder who keeps thinking up these "bright" ideas.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] HAHAHHAAHAHHA $500 now on Amazon. I might just wait.... surely the CE will be available in Australia sooner or later. (NOTE: Gamestop has them at $159 available.....???)TheShadowLord07

Gamestop US might, but they dont ship internationally.

They do? I tried ordering from them ages ago and they wouldnt let me buy it cause i wasn't in US. Strange.

FelipeInside

Nothing confirmed but Amazon has the release for December...FelipeInside

My preorder says it'll be shipped on the 2nd of January 2012. Its a placeholder, it'll change once the release date is confirmed.

Now I'm just crying.... :( Nah, I'll wait.... no hurry... CE will turn up soon for Australia. TIP: this might be like it was with Lich King CE remember? It came later out for Australia and everyone was putting down $100 preorder at EB Games to secure a copy. I might do the same....

Possibly, but you're right you should see them in Australia soon, If not I dont know what to tell you. I still find this logic of limiting people buying this game and limiting Digital sales of this game odd.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] We ALL know that the servers will be based in both USA and Europe anyway.... even WoW doesn't have servers in Oceania (Oceanic servers yes, but they are still in the US) So I'm tempted to order the CE... but I'm worried about the actual ACCOUNT/CD KEY and if that might have any issues....FelipeInside

Star Wars: The Old Republic, Collectors bundle, was $150 now $224

No Key issuses from what ive been told. But the price has shot though the roof.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] YEAH :( But the QUESTION is... if I buy from Amazon or GameStop... will it work in Australia? UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! UPDATE !!! I rang EA Australia. They have no idea either and have said that the only thing they were told is that ToR is not available for pre-order YET for Australia.FelipeInside

No IP blocks just ping issues might occour, but depending where the servers are located in US it probably will have little effect. Unless the ping is 700+

So yeah it will work. they're limiting everything its so werid. 500k Copies only available. The EB rep is right you cant pre order in AUS, anywhere that is Oceania you cant and some other parts of the world. apparently its to give Americans a better experience. :? thats what Bioware said. Kinda odd.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"]On a side not for AUSSIES: - Just went to both EB Games and GAME and they don't have any information about CE. One guy didn't even know you could pre-order (do these guys even READ Game Information) - Anyone know if the AMAZON version will work in Australia?FelipeInside

Yeah we're being excluded from the pre-order program. along with most of the Oceania part of the world. Amazon works but the CE is long gone now.
