Shouldn't have implemented them in the first place but thank you for seeing some sense and doing away with them.
Now take a deep breath EA and take the next step. You've released quite a good number of well considered back titles drm free on gog. How about you take the next step and start selling contemporary titles drm free. You've got an online store/client. Use it to sell drm free - wipe the smug look off of peoples faces that go into hissy fits over Origin being "nothing but a drm client" by making it an entirely drm free client. Sell drm free through gog as well. Make it so that Valve are the scum that have and continue to push drm clients.
Rather than chasing after the next anti consumer friendly fad. How about you take the lead as a BIG publisher and say no to drm. CD Projekt has shown you how it can be done by a small (but growing) publisher. How about one of the big boys sets an example?
Displaying both is as fair. Well done all involved. They're part of this issue whether you want it to exist or not but at least they take part in a way that isn't rife with vitriolic hatred and hissy fits but instead is handled with a fair and humorous approach.
@Landsharkk Agreed. It's a pity as before as you say, even ten years ago you had a good understanding that if you were buying a Sony built product you were going to get something made with care and of good quality. I think Samsung has snuck in there brilliantly and now provides that level of quality with less of an eye watering price.
@MoronGotMyName @Hicks233 Recent titles despite being single player have been shackled to Steamworks drm which requires online authentication, a third party drm client, unpredictable client updates and mandatory updates for the software before first run or on re-installation.
While not "Always Online" it is still a needless level of restriction - no matter how much the drones fawn over Valve.

Does he forget that new generations can become fond of things as well. Or do they continue to make Star Trek, Star Wars, James Bond et all because they have nothing better to do? What with their original patrons getting "long in the tooth".
The only thing that gets consistently long in the tooth as it were is the pissed out drivel that this mug comes out with.
They're as much a valid art form as film or music. Does it matter though? Nah. If they're so insecure about how they're regarded then perhaps a donation of brown paper bags for them to breathe into when anxious could help?
What's so bad about making a good *game*, it being recognised as such and celebrated. If people then go "Hey, this is actually art as well!" then isn't that nice! Wouldn't be loosing sleep over it though.
