What is this... Why do people complain that OT is Mostly Atheists every time there is a Religious thread... Clearly this is not all of OT, but it gives a good idea of the rest of people.

I just got Red Faction Guerrilla from my Local Target for $4.98 because they had the wrong price on it and that made me wonder what is the cheapest you've bought a current gen game for? I'm not talking about the download only games, but the Disc games

[QUOTE="HelluvaEnjineer"]to follow a book with no scientific proof is following blindly... So to a degree Following a Religion = Not using your head... It doesn't mean your dumb, but to dedicate your life to something with no proof is a problem.

foxhound_fox

But what if the proof you have is personal, subjective and completely non-scientific? What if you can say with certainty, to yourself, that you believe wholeheartedly in something, despite your rational mind telling you it cannot be true?

There are different kinds of proof, and the human experience is a very subjective thing... to rely solely on objective evidence, and state that anyone who isn't following a purely rational mindset is "not using their head" is quite offensive if I do say.

So, who moved the giant stone that closed him in? Yes, I know he was resurrected.

Chutebox

A bunch of his followers who didn't want his body to be desecrated by thieves or antagonists against his position? There are many possible, rational explanations, jumping to one of the least likely just because you "feel" it might be right doesn't necessarily make it true.

if Something is Subjective its not Proof... You have a brain to us it... the best way to use it is with rationality. If you ignore that then yes your are not using your head... once again I said in another post this doesn't mean your dumb, but its not advisable to do thinks with out thinking them through rationally...

[QUOTE="Acemaster27"]Yes, he did. James was an engineer and had Goblin Jumper Cables

don't make stuff up... Jesus just had a Soul Stone up like people said earlier... Clearly he was a Warlock with all the Magic he had...

I used to be a devout Catholic but I'm now an atheist.

I think Jesus didnt resurrect from the dead as the New Testament says. I mean he didn't really die, he just had a near death experience. His disciples thought that's a miracle so they believed he's God but now we all know there nothing supernatural about it. Lots of people have NDE. I still have respect for Jesus as a good teacher,a good man but I no longer believe he's God. Please share your opnions, tell us why you do or don't, Thanks.

Sense the NT was written many years after Jesus died by people that had not even lived at the same times that Jesus had lived one part in the NT can no be proof for another... I don't truest any part of it. I'll say Jesus could have been a real person (although it may be that he was based off of one of the many of people claiming to come from virgin birth back then), but even if he was real Rational thinking makes you believe that almost all of the NT is exaggerated at minimal.

[QUOTE="Elephant_Couple"]

How do you know Jesus had a near death experience?

spawnassasin

i dont know maybe it had something to so with the whips, the nailing of the hands and feet, and maybe just meybe a spear to the chest

Maybe the coming back part was a lie and that he was dead... When they wrote the bible they couldn't leave it at he was dead so they brought him back to keep people faith.

I know but what I emant was : cant you think for yourself or you just blindly follow the Qur'an ?

the same could be said about christians and their beliefs... you know, following blindly and not using their head

I don't get it. Following a religion = not using your head?

You have generalizing man for that to happen.

even if its generalizing people its true for the vast majority of Christians. To Follow a book with no scientific proof is following blindly no matter what you say
