I guess I am the only one.

Though Prince of Persia was tastfully done.

Its not necessarily realism (in all sense of the word) I look for, its mostly proportionate humanoid figures.

I enjoy cartoons as a visual style, just not in video games, except for anime, I cant watch anime in any form it just irks me. Perhaps because it's grossly overused.

Competition IS nature. We model everything after nature. Video games are essentially alternative realities built upon nature.

Survival of the fittest. Kill or be killed. Life and death.

I simply can not understand your viewpoint. Would rather compete with the computer?

In part I agree with you. The cities seem empty.

I get a lonely feeling playing games from bethesda (sp?) A large open world with only me in it. Perhaps its the lack of human interaction and that I am used to MMO's like Everquest. Maybe what I am trying to get at is, Bethesda make an MMO! or at least a multiplayer function.

The games I could never like due to my distaste for cartoons:

World of Warcraft, Team Fortress, the new Street fighter.

What brought this to my attention was the amped 3 snowboarding game. It used to have realistic player models and then they got new developers and made it look like saturday morning toons. Damn, hopefully "stoked" will satisfy my realistic needs.

Not sure, because I never played it. I do know however that the Icewind Dale series has a multiplayer function.
