Where was Brain Age?! Its a game where you're being told what to do by a floating, disembodied head!!! How do you get much scarier than that!?!?1

Also I would have said Dead Rising for the gross out/adrenaline but it has WAY too many funny moments to be on this list. Great game though.

No Clock Tower?!! What!?!? First Fear on the SNES actually scared the crap out of me and still does!! SNES! The whole atmosphere of "Where's the scissorman?" to the jump out of your seat ways he ends up finding and killing you and the others will just leave you scared even after playing it for like 10 minutes. And the running will really scare you because you think he's gone then bam! He smashes right through a wall andkills you! The music was amazing for a SNES game, along with the SFX. It doesnt even end with Scissorman... there's also alot of occultism in this game too. From the killer doll in the playroom to the zombie in the closet, this is hands down the creepiest game I have ever played. And if we could add freeware games, definetly the Chzo Mythos. ITs a real in your head psychological thriller and if you are reading this list, I suggest you try this out. Thumbs up if you agree about Clock Tower.
