COD4 might be pretty good. SOCOM confrontation looks worth it to me. My favorite thing to do in shooters is Co Op. Perfect Dark and Turok 2 are still me and my bro's favorite games for co-op(turok2 cheat thing) so Army of Two looks cool. Graw 2 looks awesome also.
The backwards compatibility thing isnt a big deal. I think that most people who buy a PS3 will already have a PS2 and its not that hard to plug in a PS2 when you want to instead of just using the PS3. I got a PS3 at launch and I am happy with resistence and the turismo HD demo. But I bought one at luanch just to be apart of launch, no system rocks at launch. I will get a Wii later this year when some awesome games like S.S.B Brawl comes out or the next mario kart but I have twilight princess on Gamecube so I dont really care about the Wii yet. The PS3 is getting motor storm,lair,splinter cell, F.E.A.R, Ghost Recon Advanced warfighter 2, Turok, and Assassins Creed. Let's not forget the games that really will make the PS3 worth it. Some people would buy a PS3 just to play Devil May Cry 4, God of War 3 or the biggest one Metal Gear Solid 4. Not to mention Final Fantasy. Now games like MGS4 are the exclusives but other games, just cuz they are on other systems doesnt mean the PS3 isnt getting great games. Oblivion and many many more other ones are going to be on the PS3 also. On top of all those great games you got Blu-Ray DVD. Now I know people say oh I dont have this so its worthless, but the number of HD TV's in peoples homes are growing, and that means a lot of happy people who already have a Blu Ray player on top of a console with some tight games.
