I loved the majority of ME3, but I'm not paying for story that should have been in the game to begin with. They want to pull that "It would take too long to tell you about our creators, so let's move on," garbage, then immediately reveal DLC that gives that information? Screw that noise.

I'll be waiting for somebody to post the video on youtube.

@lx_theo Oh! Oh! And the part where F2P members only have limited access to flashpoints and pvp, and can't access operations at all. Yeah, totally stimulate the grouping population xD

@lx_theo lol are you really going to sit there and try to say, with a straight face no less, that the problem with the game is low server populations? Because I don't know if you realize this or not, but Bioware JUST merged the servers, and they're still bleeding subs.

@Auriken People willing to play for free isn't going to do anything but put additional stress on the servers. The point of going F2P is to get players hooked so that they're willing to spend money. So no, all your little friends that want to play the game for free don't mean shit, because they won't bring in a single penny that Bioware and EA aren't already getting.

Not only that, but F2P is a slippery slope into P2W, which is exactly where this game is going. That's why people are saying this is bad for SWTOR.

While I more or less agree with the article, I don't agree with Sundberg's assertion that all games should "not [be] focusing so much on the actual end goal of the game." That's all well and good for his game, and other sandbox-heavy games like GTA, Fallout, etc... but a lot of games have a story to tell and require a more linear experience. Of course, I believe that the journey is just as important as the ending, and a player should have a blast along the way, but asserting that his way of making games is the only way is short-sighted and a bit egocentric.

While I think it's "too little, too late" for Sony to start hopping on the "family friendly gaming" bandwagon that Nintendo stole 6 years ago, this sounds like Sony is just trying to change their approach this holiday season due to the lack of any major AAA blockbusters coming out around christmas time. I don't begrudge them that, even if I don't think their attempts are going to go over well.

One of these days, people are going to learn to stop paying attention to any of the supposed "news" that Kotaku reports.

Oh hell, who am I kidding, this is the internet.

@Razer361 Any machine that can break down (die) has room for improvement.
