[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="Goebells"] Hmm. That does sound, in fact, like they were superior.BranKetra
What is superior one day can be immediately reduced to nothing the next. As such superiority is a result, not a goal. Survival is the goal.

Exactly

In terms of evolution superiority is not determined in the course of a day-or any short length of time. It is determined in geologic time over generations of offspring.

I'm definitely in love with my girl. We'll be having a baby boy soon.

They are what I'm going to live for.

[QUOTE="Goebells"][QUOTE="br0kenrabbit"]

Love is most certainly nice, but curiosity is a pretty good drive, itself.

Don't you guys realize how weird things are going to get before most of us kick off this coil?

br0kenrabbit

What coil?

For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes Calamity of so long life: -Shakespeare

Damn, son...read your classics! :P

That is beautiful. What play is that from? I must read that.

[QUOTE="Goebells"][QUOTE="Ace6301"] The after math was not a nuclear blast though. For the most part it seems to have been food shortages. So suddenly something that is massively powerful and capable of killing just about anything on the planet is dead while a rat that can hardly live it's half a year life span before breeding is alive. BranKetra
So are those who survived not superior?

The survivors of the aftermath were better able to adapt to the new living conditions, but that does not mean they were faster, stronger, or smarter than the then recently deceased. They were just able to survive in those living conditions and they may have died if the living environment were in better condition.

Hmm. That does sound, in fact, like they were superior.

[QUOTE="XilePrincess"]Honestly I think the only reason he lasted this long is because he has a name that sounds dark and mysterious and cool when the voiceover artist says it. If his name was Marvin Somethingstein I don't think he'd have gotten so far on what talent he has.Hallenbeck77
What's funny is that the studio didn't put his name ANYWHERE for the promotion of this movie.

Hallenbeck77 How did you become a MOD? I'd like to reach that status one day.

If I were homeless I'd hold a sign saying I'd work for less than minimum wage.

[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="Goebells"][QUOTE="Ace6301"] "Could you or anything survive a nuclear blast? That is what everything on Earth faced when the dinosaurs died." The issue of course being that this is not what everything on earth faced.

Everything on Earth faced the aftermath. Those that did not survive are not here today.

The after math was not a nuclear blast though. For the most part it seems to have been food shortages. So suddenly something that is massively powerful and capable of killing just about anything on the planet is dead while a rat that can hardly live it's half a year life span before breeding is alive.
