I have an Antec earthwatts 750 power supply from another computer. Do you think the hd 7870 would be a good card?

I just got a second hand pc. I will be using my 1080p monitor and would like something in the <$250 range. I just don't know what is compatible with what :/

The motherboard seems a bit crap and i don't know what graphics card it is compatible with. Which graphics card would you guys recommend for this?

CPU: i5 2400
RAM: 4gb
Motherboard: MSI H61M-P21
Graphics: HD 6600
HDD: 500gb
OS: Win7 Home Premium

Thanks

[QUOTE="adamosmaki"]The extra performance of gtx 670 doesnt worth the extra $100 ( for that price you can get a 7970 ) Also AMD is giving Far Cry 3, Sleeping dogs and Hitman Absolution for free

I live in Australia, so unfortunately we don't get any free games :c

I think i'll go for the 7950. The price suits me ($329) and i hear it can be overclocked quite a bit.

Still a good card. All of these will do what you are asking.

I would personally still go for the 670 Gigabyte.

PS: Can you post the specs of your computer as well. How old is it?

The new pc this card will be going into (not built yet): i5 3570k, msi z77 gd65 motherboard, 8gb corsair ram.

@mitu123 - i won't be going higher than 1080p.

Actually, how's this 7970 for $419? It's cheaper than the 670's.

The 7950 has a core clock of 900mhz and memory clock of 5000mhz. Is that good?

Edit: The 670 has a core clock of 980mhz and memory clock of 6008mhz.

Hi guys, i just need some help finalising a build. I can't decide on which graphics card to get.

Ideally i would like the card to last 2 years (too ambitious?) and want to play on high settings. I am looking at current games like Hitman Absolution and when they become available, Watch Dogs/GTA 5 etc.

I will only be playing at 1080p and would prefer not to SLI or Crossfire.

The 670 i'm looking at is a 2gb card and costs about $100 more than a overclocked 3gb 7950.

Which card will provide me with the best performance? Any benchmarks will be appreciated and other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.
