@rasterror: I think it's funny that any person can honestly believe that a white person can have no idea what it's like to be a person of color, but a person of color can know exactly what it's like to be white.
How about a sequel instead of just resolving everything in comics and novels most people won't read or buy? Personally, I thought the game was great. A multi-tiered story? From Bioware post-EA acquisition? I thought it was a (very much needed) throwback.
Tier 1 - new galaxy to explore with new enemy killing everyone
Tier 2 - new enemy is out there in rest of galaxy, came here, have factions infighting, how big is the race, etc.
Tier 3 - who actually bankrolled the whole expedition, who is the benefactor, how did garson really die, who did it, etc?
Lots of loose story lines that need a deep and equally compelling sequel. Not just some resolution in some name brand literature. Fortunately, I feel fairly confident a sequel is on the way.
Good. Tired of Renegade/Paragon. It's not Star Wars, don't need a coded version of light side/dark side.
Besides, ME3 totally ruined the system for me. You COULDN'T be renegade. I mean, sure, you could pick the Renegade option, but you wouldn't be a badass like in the previous games. You could never pick an option that said "I get Earth is on fire, but let's be smart about this and sacrifice Earth to stop the reapers if we have to". No, you had to be like OMG EARTH, GOTTA SAVE EARTH, WHO CARES ABOUT STOPPING REAPERS, WE GOTTA SAVE EARTH!!. Yeah. It was that lame.
Not to mention, you couldn't agree with the Illusive Man. You couldn't agree and try to control the reapers until the very end. ME3 was too scripted in what your character had to do or think. Renegade/Paragon worked well in ME1 and ME2 but it never worked well in ME3.
