I don't think it was any surprise that ToV sold that much. Typically 70-80% of lifetime sales are made within the first week. VP2 sold 260k units within its first week and over its lifetime only sold 310k in japan. In other words, don't expect 360s to be flying off the shelves when they get restocked.

So your gonna trade in your ps2 for 200(if that) bucks, that you paid 4-600 for, trade in 12 games, which you paids 660 dollars for, to get a xbox360, which you can get for 300 dollars? Do you see the logic? I don't.

If you want a 360, save up some money and get it, or trade in a few games that u won't be playing to soften the blow on your wallet. instead of trading 1200 dollars worth of stuff for 350.

But your mind is already made up, since your doing it tomorrow. I wouldn't burn my money like that.

I certainly know thats the primary reason I haven't gotten one yet. I remember when I fell for the hype back in 2001 and my parents bought me a ps2(I was 15) on my birthday, and they fought off plenty of other angry parents and payed 100+ extra just to get it. Well needless to say, I was excited for a few hours, before I realized that it had no games, or rather any games that I wanted to play. So it was just a PS1 with benefits until the RPGs started coming out. Fast forward to PS3 and the exact same thing is happening, except its lacking any "benefits" other than the Blu-ray player(no HDTV, i'm a college kid, so screw me).

I suppose I could get a used one off of ebay for 300-400 bucks, but thinking about some fat slob rubbing it all over his body really creeps me the **** out.

Anyone else feel the same way?

Had a memory card from Madcatz that died on me(and all my ps2 game data :() Pissed me off so bad, that I decided not to buy another thing from mad catz. So fast forward a few months later and I buy a MadCatz ps2 controller, lo and behold 2 weeks later it's missing the shoulder buttons and the O button dosent work. Yea, never again.

For one simple reason, costs. Who wants to pay 70-80 bucks for a game, because it costs 100 million dollars to make? If there isn't a shift soon to lower development costs, gaming certainly can take a huge hit, and perhaps completely disappear.

Omg can you imagine

Godfather

Sims

Spore

Command and Conquer

Medal of Honor

LOTR

SSX

Mass Effect

Baldurs Gate

Neverwinter Nights

KOTOR

Battlefield

Mirror's Edge

Mercenaries

SW: Battlefront

Orange Box

Skate

Need for Speed

Madden

Spellforce

Burnout

Warhammer

NCAA

Tiger Woods

NHL

all exclusive! lol. All it needs is to buy off Square-Enix and it would be game over to Sony/Microsoft. Nintendo would still thrive, the only games that people buy on the Wii are their games anyway.

They could easily release a Wii like platform where they're actually making plenty of money, but the hardware is fairly outdated. Would make billions.

man what a waste of a freaking topic. I don't even know why I even read these boards, who the **** cares if ffvs comes to 360, more people get to play it. If I hear this stupid argument one more time i'm going to freakin kill a kitten.

[QUOTE="rybe1025"]Can not wait to play them on the 360.Anyone that does not think FFvs will be on the 360 is fooling themselves. rybe1025

No, you're fooling yourself. Tetsuya Nomura has pretty much stated he hates the idea of multiplatform titles. It's his game. It won't happen.

Ya and at one point FF13 would never be on the 360 and PS3 was only console that could handle it. All that stuff is PR bull. Also unless that dude is the SE boss it does not matter how he feels. SE has shown much love to the 360 more then the PS3 and as long as FF13 sells well the 360 will also get FFvs. SE is run by share holders and those poeple care about cash not some developers opinion.

By your logic then SO4, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vesperia, GeOW, GeOW2, and every other game on 360 or PS3 will go to another console because "they like money".
