In the video, director Motomu Toriyama didn't beat around the bush when Nomura asked him questions about the 360 FFXIII. Starting off, he reconfirmed that,
"We haven't changed the direction of the development. We're making the PS3 version first, and then porting to the 360 later."Motomu Toriyama
Everything below is speculation.
That means that since the game will be released simultaneously on both platforms in North America and Europe, the PS3 release will be held back in those territories until the 360 version is complete.
Yea because "they're great at making MMORPGS"...oh wait, they're not.
They really should have named ff11 lineage3. Nothing but a grindfest of epic proportions(albeit nowhere close to lineage its far worse than any other mmorpg on the market however).
Guild Wars(most balanced multi-class pvp system ever created)
Suikoden III(Compelling the way that they intertwined each characters perspectives of events, and how mis-interpretations occur even though each individuals intentions were not evi)
Xenogears(2nd best turn based battle system, only behind chrono trigger, extradionarily deep story, makes you question how religion came to be and why it is in the state it is now, still find out new twists each playthrough)
that's all that I can think of for now.
[QUOTE="gamefreakomega"][QUOTE="GhettoBaron"]I hate to say it, but i'm definently not looking forward to WKC. The gameplay videos i've seen have all been walk up and slash walk up and slash walk up slash slash slash repeat. And every single time it was the EXACT same animation. If it's going to be like that in the final game, i'm not picking that piece of crap up.Zenkuso
Well, in all fairness, all the gameplay videos that have been released are from like a year ago.
yeah and all games are repetitive...
Its kinda like saying the walking animations in a video game will get repetitive ghetto, its kind of a stupid thing to have said.
Yes there are plenty of repetitive things in games. Turning left for instance, or turning right, or maybe your first attack, and then your first and second attack. But when all combat was, was pressing O and using the same stabbing animation over and over no matter what attack was being used, that is unacceptable. I could understand if it was a menu-based game(i.e. turn based or a srpg) where you attack once and its always the same animation, but in a realtime rpg it takes any type of "wow" factor out and makes combat extremely boring. Makes me feel like i'm playing whack-a-mole.
Maybe thats why I could never play a barbarian in diablo 2.
Edit: Just looked up a few more videos and I guess the ones I saw weren't an accurate representation of the combat system. Oh well my point still stands though :P
