I kept my 360 in good shape, but after 2 years it conked out. I actually got an hdmi 360 with the new chip as a replacement, so that was nice. The big bummer for me is that I got the rrod one day before my winter break from school, and all I wanted to do once school was out was to play Halo3 for two weeks straight. No such luck. I got it back within two weeks after I sent it in, but by then I once again didn't have time to play it. The irony.phalasu
You must feel frustrated because you want to play a game that you have been wanting to play in a long time and then it breaks down on you and later on you probably are busy and cant play. A lot of busy people will feel annoyed with all that inconvience. Thats why having a console that you know that it wouldnt break is a very important thing. Cuz you know its a very big inconveince when you feel like playing but you cant.
Just to be on the safe side, just dont buy xbox 360 because it will be a pain in the @ss seeing it break down like that. My freind had one and he was an he loved 360 at that time and once it it has RRoD he didnt even bother returning it because he dont wont to deal with all that shipping and waiting for it to be repaired. Yea, like what I said earlier, just to be safe, buy a system that wont break down.
You guys say that kill cams are there for a reason, you will hunt that camper down. BUt guess what, what if you respawn at the end of the map and your making your journey to that camper that you saw on the kill cam. Meanwhile your making your journey there, that camper probably killed a couple of your teammates, so the kill cam is not really a benefit to you. And you will probably get killed by a different camper when your making your way to your first camper. Then you will respawn and you will forget about your first camper and try to hunt down the second one. Then you will get killed from a different camper, rinse and repeat. See kill cam doesnt help.
Sorry for the long @ss passage
OMG. Give this guy a break. I absolutely hate camping in all types of online games. The way you guys describe a camper is like you think its right to do it. First you guys will say,"then we should mindlessly run around on the battlefield like an idiot", WELL GUESS WHAT, thats better than camping. Lemme give you guys an example, if we dont mindlessly run around and just camp, who is gonna get killed? NO ONE!! And do you know why no one gets killed, its because no one is moving. It doesnt take a genius to know that.
I actually give credit to those people that runs around and actually doing something, than @sshole campers. Why buy a game adn just sit there doing nothing. I thought we play games to move around and have fun.
The download is most likely the culprit. I've done this as well, but there have been other times where it will have the "delayed power off beepy thing" when I quit to a main menu of a game, then hold the PS button and just turn the system off. I don't think that is a good idea. Now I make it a habit to save my game, quit to the main menu of that game, press the PS button, choose quit game and go to the XMB, then I power off the console. Damn....to many steps right? What happened to the days of just pressing the on/off switch!?paul52181
LOL, I know. I always go to the XMB to shut it off, just to make sure nothing happens to my precious PS3. It is such a hassle, my brother gets so annoyed when I always tell him to quit game and go to XMB before shutting it off. He is the bigger one too. He probably like the olden days where you can just take the disc out and shut it off. He is so lazy that sometimes he wouldnt even take the disc out and shuts off the PS3
This hardly happens. But when it does, I realize that sometimes I have a download running, i would shut it off, then the shutting off problem occurs. MAybe is like what you said, when a process is running it will have a strange way of shutting off.
The normal way the PS3 shuts off is when you hear the PS3 makes a beep sound and then the green light blinks for approximately 6-7 seconds before it shuts off. But there are times when I try to shut it off and it beeps and the green light starts blinking but the blinking last for a long time and it beeps one more time before it shuts off. Just like when a game freezes and you are force to shut it off but it takes a long time and it beeps another time. Do you know why the PS3 shuts off like that and is that bad that the PS3 shuts off like that?
